I've started creating my own stages with a bit of success. Can add lakes, tunnels, bridges, forests etc - even my own pre-race commentary.
However, I've added a few Cities into my route but these just dont seem to appear in the races at all. I'm not sure I'm doing this right.
Would someone who has success with this be able to help, or even point me to an advanced guide for the stage creation? |

What graphic settings do you cp run? Not all computers can run that |

are you building them or just placing the spline lines?

You need to rebuild the cities before exporting (menu "City" I think -> "Rebuild all cities" )

I did just place the spline lines initialy, kind of learning as I go!
I've tried since using the Rebuild All Cities - it seems to make a difference on the Stage Editor but not in race. Is there something else I should be doing after creating the spline lines? Or could it be a graphics setting? |

Well, if the cities can be seen in the Stage Editor when exporting but not in the game, then it's probably related to the graphics settings indeed. What number do you have on "Level of urban details" on Options -> Graphics?

The highest possible
Try 3, if that's too high, try 2. But it all depends on your computer. |

Well, the game reads the graphics card or something like that you have and then 'suggest' the values, so putting everything on the highest possible will take out smoothness (make the game lag) and make it more possible to crash. To view cities, you only need a 1 though
