It's very hard to understand what you mean.
If you're talking about playing PCM11 stages in PCM12, then yes. You need to re-export them from the PCM12 stage editor before you can play it though.

I believe he's saying if it's possible to directly use PCM 2011 stages in PCM 2012 with the stage name and region.
I think it's possible by creating a .cdx with this structure using the notepad.
<root>
<fallback></fallback>
<stagename></stagename>
<regionid></regionid>
</root>
Where fallback is the name of the file you're using, stagename the name of the stage obviously and regionid the ID of the region which can be found in sta_region in the db. Then save the file as a .cdx and use a correct name for the file.
I have done that and the stages do work in stage race, stage and classic mode. I tested it with last year's Volta a Catalunya and it worked also in career mode as a variant (4 years, everything correct) . Anyway I don't know if the stages are 100% compatible or if some may crash and things like that. |

Have I done something wrong?
Here are the stages

<fallback>top_vuelta_08_dape</fallback>
This should be changed to something else that doesn't use the variant nomenclature or the game will read the zces and cds instead of the cdx. For instance.
<fallback>dape_top_vuelta_08</fallback>
And of course.
dape_top_vuelta_08.cds
dape_top_vuelta_08.zces
The .cdx file name should respect the nomenclature (top_vuelta_08_dape is ok) |

Well I tried using this for 2 stages of the 05' Vuelta in the first release of the PCMDaily DB, they crashed for most users it seems. Also asked Eyolfur about this possibility (PCM11 stage + .cdx file) but got this for answer:

No, why would you do that ?
It seems quite obvious that PCM12 has to run with PCM12 stages only and .cdx files are not supposed to be edited this way.

So far I've been able to use .cdx + PCM 11 stages without problem, so I don't really care whether it's correct or not. If I have problems then I'll just delete the stages. |
