As the title says, I've downloaded some stages from the Stage Database, but I don't know what to do with it. Where do I need to place the files? And how can I get it into my saved game carreer? |

By the way: Are the 2012 stages useable with PCM 2011? |

When you want to add a stage, from for example the Tour de France, do you have to add also STA_race or only at the STA_stage? |

If you want to add a stage to an already existing race, you need to add a line only in STA_stage, but you need to edit STA_race as well (fkIDfirst_stage/last_stage if you've changed that and gene_i_number_stages).

It's not easy and requires some basic stage editor knowledge, but if you have the .zcts file (which is the case when downloading stages from stage DB), you can in fact use at least part of the stage in a PCM12-11 conversion. Oh you'd also need the PCM12 stage editor, so if you don't have that perhaps you could ask for people to do the first part. You'd need to open the stage in the PCM12 editor, then export the water/road network and start a stage in the PCM11 editor with that. Now you'd have the roads and the route, but you'd need to do the rest (add start, finish, sprints, and if you want the stage to look good, cities, fields and forests).

Thanks for the response. Sounds like quite a lot of effort so I might just make some stages my self (Although I'm not great but I just wanted some more GB races to play with a new custom team) |

I want only add stages so they can chosen randomly next season. What do I have to fill in at gene_i_day and gene_i_month? And are there any other things I have to change, because the game crashed when I wanted to load the saved game. |

You mean like variants? If yes that's another process, search around for "variants".

Yes, that you have different stages and the game takes 21 etappes of it for the this years Tour de France. So I have for example 30 stages and the game chooses which stages are in the Tour of this year. |

I have found some information about it, but not about my problem. I've add a stage in my Realname Database and tried it at Single Player -> Drive Stage. There the stage works. But when I want to add it to my carreer database, and I want to load my carreer, the game crashes. So I think the problem is the date and month. So what do I have to write there. And after that, do I have to change something else? (STA_race?)

You can neither modify nor convert stages which have been downloaded.
As the stages have been downloaded from the stage database, the ZCTS-file is included, making it possible to convert the stages, if he knows how to do it. |

Gene_i_day and month: well... day and month
gene_i_computed_date: month number x 50 + day number. E.g.: March 15th = 3x50 + 15 = 165
Does loading other careers work?

I haven't add any stages to an other carreer, I've only tried with this one. So I can load the other carreers, and when I delete my added stages I can also play this carreer, so the problem is in the date of the added stages. But I can't give them a date, because I want that they will be taken randomly, and then the date will be chosen. But I don't know what to write in these (Gene_i_day and month, gene_i_computed_date) boxes. |

If that's what you want to do, I've already answered you:

I thought that you mean to look around in the pcmdaily forum, but you meant to look in the PCM Fast Editor. Sorry, than it's my mistake. I've found it. Thanks! I'm gonna try it. |

What do I have to fill in gene_i_num_ravitos? And do they mean with 'weight' that the stage will be used when the number is higher? |

You should definitely get a more recent .descr file
You can find one here:
https://pcmdaily.com/forum/viewthread....ost_498520
As you'll notice, they only include stage number, file names, stage name, climat, forcewind and wind direction. It's all explained in the .xml file as well, so it should be rather easy
