All 3 GT

Hey, I have a question for you guys 'cause I'm a bit confused..Can I win all the 3 GT in the SAME year with the SAME rider ? I want to do this with Contador.
Now, if is possible I wanna know in what circumstances.Like, easy difficulty, custom team with strong riders etc. (Please, try to be precise here)

Thanks, I appreciate.

Yes, it's possible, but it's not easy. There are even some stories on that, one of them being Mresuperstar's A.Schleck one, with Leopard obviously and in hard. Won't tell you if he succeeded or not in case you might want to read it (definitely worth it - it was also one of the 3 nominees for the one-rider story of the year award) Wink

There's an achievement for that so there you have your answer Wink

In hard difficulty it is possible, but it is very complicated. I haven't tried it myself in PCM12, but I think it is pretty much the same as in previous versions. First, you need to take in account you are spending more than 60 race days for each GT, so forget about one week stage races as preparation. The best shot is probably to use one race as preparation for the Giro, the 3 GTs and nothing else in between. The next problem is the fitness. You need level 5 fitness for the 3 weeks of each GT and never put level 6 in the whole season; otherwise fatigue will hit during the Vuelta (actually, I try not to put level 6 ever for my leaders unless they are targeting a race for which they can't possibly perform unless maximum fitness).

If you are playing on easy or normal, it is quite easy to achieve the 3 GT goal, but in my opinion if you are targeting the 3 GTs in one of those difficulty levels I suggest you to try hard instead and target more realistic goals. That way the game will be more enjoyable.

Allright guys, thank you so much for your answers.I'm a newbie at this game, so first I will try this at easy and then maybe I will raise the difficulty level.

Thanks again.

It's possible! I win 3 GT with Nibali .. first and second year. Giro and Tour is quite "easy" but Vuelta is so difficult for training form.
Little advice.. do only GT races. At giro you start with 75/80 - 0/20..

In my opinion, even being a newbie you shouldn't play more than a couple of races in easy level and then raise it to normal. Easy is extremely easy, such as you can get all the podium places in every GT with almost any World Tour team. Even normal is easy after having played a little bit. Considering you won't get too much of a penalty due to bad results, as soon as you can try to raise the difficulty to hard. The results are way more realistic and rewarding. Otherwise you will end getting bored by winning the rankings by insane margins. The only really hard thing on hard, at least for me (other people are way too skilled), are the sprints (granted, I don't use to have sprinting teams) and cobblestones.

Just a little tip if you raise the difficulty level and you find you are getting a little behind on sponsor happiness at the last year of the contract: try to win every king of mountain jersey. They give quite a few superprestige points and you can easily wear it during the whole stage race, so there is a bonus too. The sponsor's happiness will increase that way.

I have another question.I will post here because I don't want to stress you with another topic.

If I start a new career with a custom team, and then after I play a wile I will replace the team's jerseys with another ones, the changes will make immediate effect or I will need to start a new career to see the changes?

Thanks.

If you replace the file, then it will apply to your actual career as well as to all new careers.
If you edit the database, then you need to start a new career.
If you edit your save, it will only affect your career, so you can continue it.
So select the variant you want.

I will replace the files so the changes will apply to my actual career. Can I do this with Lachi's Editor ?

I am not sure if you understood me. Replacing a file means: You have to replace a file on your computer with another file.

Oh, sorry, newbie me.

Do you mean that I should delete the jerseys from: D:\Program Files (x86)\Cyanide\Pro Cycling Manager - Season 2012\3D\Cyclists\Cloth\Team\c00 , and then copy the jerseys that I want ? Should I replace the mini-jerseys also for this to work ?

My jerseys are .png, not .tga, so how should I convert them ?

Go to Program Files (x86)\Cyanide\Pro Cycling Manager - Season 2012\3D\Cyclists\Cloth\Team or wherever your game is installed. In the directories named c00-c19 there are the custom files. Replace them and if necessary change the name for c00_maillot and so on.

To export them to TGA format you can use some image edition software, such as Corel, Photoshop or paint.net, which is free software.

The other 2 files are 2 minilogos (I think, but I'm not sure, that they are used for the leader jerseys). If you are too lazy to create them, you can copy and paste 2 cyanide ones from any of the custom files and rename them. Or you can create them yourself. For example, open the image of the shirt, copy the central part where it says Reyno de Navarra (using a rectangle with relation 1:1,5), and paste it to another empty image. Then resize it to 69*46 and save is as a TGA named xxx_transfert_ar. Do the same thing but resizing the image to 79*52 and rename it to xxx_transfert_av (xxx are the 3 letters of your team). Don't resize from the 69*46 image to the 79*52 one or you will have a big degradation of the image, but directly from the original one.

You can also start from scratch, search the logos of some of the sponsors on the internet and create the image. Keep in mind that since the resolution is low, you shouldn't put a lot of logos in the files.
