Training camps
Kalach
Hi all... I dont exactly understand how does it work.
I am playing for BMC racing team and I have sent some riders to hills training camp...When they arrived for Example Cadel Evans get better his hill stats from 82->83....But after some time this stats decrease back to 82... It means that its not permanent ? Or what I have to do when I want to have the biggest advance for all riders which were sent to training camp...

Thank you for your helpful answers...Smile

No it only lasts for a few weeks. You have to use it right before a race you really want to win.
For example: if you want Evans to win TDF, you send him on a training camp for climbers right before TDF. That way he'll have increased stats during the Tour.

Well so in generally I cant get better evans stats for permanent ? Only for few weeks ? Is there any stats limit ? Because he has not so good advance as other riders..Pfft

You only can get better stats for Evans with the normal training (and that's for all riders). Yes, there's a stats limit, which you can see in the savegame (opening it with an editor), or see it in the rider potential in game (when he has no more stars - each star corresponds to 2~3 points possible to improve).

Well it's realistic that Evans won't improve as much as the other riders, after all he's quite old already Wink

Thank you lluuiiggii Smile

So normal training ( climbing for evans ) is better than sending him to camps in generaly ?
And yes I see that stas limit when I opened my saved game with editor....But still I dont know how does it work....I changed one stats quit editor it asked me if I want to save changes I said "yes" but when I loaded the game there was no change...:S

Well, training camps would be better, but for a limited time period, that's it. But some people in the community consider using TCs as some sort of 'cheating', because the AI doesn't do it and it gives you an unfair (and sometimes massive) boost over the AI riders. Some people compare it to 'a visit to Dr. Leinders' (they used to say Fuentes but this is a Sky-2012 update Pfft), especially if you go on the Tenerife TC Pfft (there's no way Cyanide didn't add this one on purpose of that Pfft)

As for the savegame, make sure you're editing the right file, which would be located in My Docs/PCM12/Users/username/Database/Solo/DB you're playing with.

normal training happens anyway. Training camps boost stats so if you really want to perform well, it's handy, though most people here feel like it's cheating.

When you save on the editor, you have to make sure you save to the right savegame.
Plus if you chance max, you don't always see it, you gotta look at the stars then.

ok thank you both...I havent known that other riders cant use training camps...If they dont TC can be really considered as cheats...
Well when I looked at Evans he has stars only at Hills and Mountains ( one star at each )...

With editor it doesnt matter when I just simply close it after edit ? It would be saved anyway....

I don't know any editor like that.
I myself use fast editor and you can close it after editing but it asks if you want to save.
However, like lluuiiggii said, you have to edit the right savegame Smile

I am playing carrer for BMC and as I know efect of training camps gradually decrease...But why Alberto Contador mountain skills during the season increase from 82 to 84 ? I think that when I started season he has 82... If training camps dont increase stats for permanent but just for a few weeks as a help for your main goals how can I increase some stats permanent ? Just simple training ?

Yes, training. You could always read the manual to find out the most basic information about the game.

I have read it recently but i dont remember that i have seen any details about it :-P and my last question is that progress is possible only on stats where are stars ?
