1) How many national champs are in game?
2) How many nations and what nations can participate in World Champs
3) Do the crashes look more realistic? (If possible, an example)

If you want to know this for PCM12 I think there are no differences to PCM11 I guess but not sure. Still haven`t played much.

1) Depends on the DB. Official release has 23, PCMDaily DB has 38, etc.
2) Again depends on the DB, but it's changed less often. 26 teams take part, in the PCMDaily DB they are these:

Crashes are not realistic at all.
One rider just falls and the whole peloton rides over him without falling, then the fallen rider is 2' behind.

When you get noticed of a crash, immediately pause the game, press space, find the crashed rider in the rider's list, click him, press space again and unpause the game. Enjoy! =D
