Does the equipment have any influence on the performance of the riders, or is it simply money out of the window? |

Well seems stupid that they add stats for each part if it useless!!........

Now I'm sad I spent all that money on equip. Even thou I could swear Wiggins wins TTs better with the best TT gear than he does with the starting gear T_T but I will trust the wisdom of you PCM experts and never buy equipment again  |

Well, Sky trainers have said that in their testing the oval chainrings Wiggins uses had no additional effect to performance, but Wiggins uses them because he believes it has effect, so I guess that's realistic

where is the equipment folder? i got so many too choose from its crazy after i used the DB2012 and would like to delete some.. |

Main PCM folder/3D/Cyclists/Equipments. But note that deleting the files from there will do nothing, you'll still see the same equipment in the selection menu (the only thing is that if you choose one of the deleted ones, you'll see nothing in 3D).

Is it "normal" to equipment do not appear in the selection preview with the DB2012 + PCM12 1.2.0.0 from Steam?
edit:
I mean the visualization does not appear, even after selecting the item. During the race only one or two helmets didn't appear at all.

Sim (é normal)
English only Which helmets did not appear at all? Haven't had any report of invisible helmets so far (unless you're playing with a custom team and do not choose equipment pre-race).
