Expansion Pack: Stat Discussion
CrueTrue
Knowing how much you guys like to discuss stats, here's another thread (besides, it's usually very helpful Smile).

Keep in mind that the stats have been ported and not optimized for PCM12 yet.

I've no idea if my yesterday or today's updates ( FDJ or Vacansoleil - DCM Pro Cycling Team ( and few more ) team updates would be missing from this Beta if they weren't included goes here but I'll check soon enough. Two infos though :

There are couple of teams that didn’t go through major overhaul and that will be done by V1. So those teams are :

Katusha Team
Lampre - ISD
Liquigas - Cannondale
Lotto Belisol Team
Movistar Team
RadioShack - Nissan

What I mean by major overhaul ? Well, every rider in the team was checked with results from 2012 and 2011 present. So mind that guys. They will be done in next three days. In the next update, along those stats I also hope to re-do many of Continental Teams in the DB.

Another point to make is that we will test the Resistance stat and it effects in the DB. If we notice any major better changes in results with lower resistance stats for all riders – we will do overhaul on this stat on all riders in DB.

Jaroslaw Dabrowski of Amore & Vita can't be 74mo, i guess it was Joseph Dombrowski to get those stats.

How many teams will the next update contain?

I've noticed that the Resistance stat is higher than for other DB's. Have you experienced realistic results?

CrueTrue
Check Alakagom's post in this thread.

Also, I think to believe that some part of the AI - perhaps the change they did to the REC stat - was pretty much wrecked in the latest patch. You can see my mountain tests with the Official Database in this thread: https://pcmdaily.com/forum/viewthread....ost_547025 and https://pcmdaily.com/forum/viewthread....ost_548079.

Yes, well spotted. That will be fixed in next version.

The remaining WT teams as stated in my 2nd post and unspecified number of Continental Teams. Plus I've seen few stats on rider's that needs to be slightly altered in some of WT teams, that will be done too.

As posted in my 2nd post, this was a port from PCM.Daily DB 2011 stats + plus the update on many of them. We will test the resistance stat in the DB and see how and if any it affects the results in positive way. If there's major difference in results - we will change them Wink

However as Crue pointed, the patch might had wrecked that a little bit anyway.

Sorry, should have read that post Wink

Something about a few polish cyclists:

First of all, Krzysztof Jeżowski and Krzysztof Szczawiński absolutely don't deserve the 75 sprint. As well as Matysiak. And I think you know it (e.g. Janiszewski is faster than them.)
Maciej Bodnar - If Kwiatkowski has 75 TT why he has 73? He is still better than him Wink.

Well, too bad that there is no BDC team, but that's probably would be too much Polish teams. Grin

Brajkovic; should have 78 or 79 mountain while zubeldia should have 77 or 78 mountain imo.

Sven Vandousselaere (Topsport Vlaanderen) has 73 sprint and he is not at all a sprinter. He is just a really aggressive attacker who has a decent kick from a small group. I also feel he should be increased to 75+ fighter because he is always getting into breaks or finding the good moves (that's how he got 3rd in the Belgian NC this year).

With the Tour stats, I am waiting till it end to change most of them. So they will be updated after the Tour ends, but not before ( i.e. before V1 ). There were few exceptions there with Froome, Chavanel's or Tejay's TT and MO, but most will be done when Tour ends.

About continental teams, if there's somebody that wants to help there - please PM. They are mostly right though, but few teams/riders have to be updated. If you have interest particular team at Continental level and see few changes needed to be done to that team - PM me Wink

Zabriskie deserves a higher TT stat imo. Minimum 79 if Wiggins/Cancellara/Martin have 82+.
He won lots of time trials over the last 3 years and also in World Tour races against strong competition.

So imo he is still one of the top5 time trialists.

I was thinking about that and when it came too top competition this year - he never did amazing.

E.g. He won Tour de Langkawi, Tour of California, USA Nats. Most notable name he beat in ToC an USA nats was Tejay - who was peaking for the Tour clearly.

When it came to Tour he didn't do at all well in prologue or the TT. So - when the competition got tough - he didn't perform as well.

However, I was bit harsh and I moved it to 78 now. I am not sure he deserves 79 though at all.

Wiggins 79 mountain I think. He has been climbing well this season but he was cracked by Froome, who is also 80.

Bigger recovery stats for Guardini, and perhaps a small mountain increase (so that he gets closer to being able to finish a GT, something like 58 perhaps), beating Cav on a sprint in the 3rd week of the Giro is not for many.

Teddy The Creator
Sprint increase for Goss, and decrease for Sagan and Guardini.

GOSS
Showed he is a top-5 (at-least) sprinter in the world. He is the most consistent I'd say, finishing top-3 most sprints in the Tour and Giro. Not to mention last year's world champs. 80 SP - 79 ACC

SAGAN
Sure he's fast, but don't let the wins blind you. The guys he beat were Huassler, Boonen, Rojas, Swift, Davis. Not the fastest guys. When facing the fastest he is keeping up, but other than that one lucky stage he has proven to be a little slower. I say 78 SP - 81 ACC

GUARDINI
I don't understand why he's so fast in this DB. One stat lower than Sagan and Goss? He won one Giro stage and some stages in conti races versus weak competition. 77 SP at the most.

Also decreases for EBH, Sanderson and Bongiorno and increases for Ferrari, Hutarovich, Impey and Modolo.

Guardini is one of few sprinters that beat Cavendish hands down in third week at Giro ? Didn't see Goss do that there.

Sagan beat Goss several times in flat sprints at Tour already, Goss beat him few times too. Both are equal in sprints at the moment, Goss is possible just slightly better. Will think about that one. Modolo has shown nothing against big guns at Giro. He's big opportunity and he did very little.

I could go on here about rest of them ( and I agree with some of the names you mentioned ) but I have to go on my cycle so I'll be back in 2h Wink

One great sprint from Guardini and he's suddenly top-6? He did nothing else that Giro! He has a couple other wins against very weak opposition in China and Malaysia, and he lost to Haedo, Viviani and Boonen in San-Luis.
