Hey guys.
I see PCM12 is just like PCM11 about Human Breakaways..
Just as BS as always.
A.I can ofc. have a good rider in a breakaway
I cant even attack with my bad rider without the AI catches me right away.
Its just Stage 3 in the TdF..
So what to do?
Playing with 1.2.0 Patch |

Like in real life, getting a break away to work in the beginning of a GT is very difficult. Most of the times i do not even try. Usually in the last week or so the breakaways get more succes. |

Strange, I have found breakaway's to be far better in this game. In some circumstances even too generous to my rider |

I think the AI is greatly improved in PCM12. However it was aweful in PCM11. Breakaways are still very tough, but they are possible. As I always play with a small team, this makes the game much, much more interesting & enjoyable. |

Quite honestly I've never really seen what people claim is the "AI-completely-against-human-in-breakaway" thing on PCM11. It's just applying to a realistic scenario; I actually think that the breakaway working all the way to the finish + the riders that take part in it are very realistic in PCM11.
For example, there was a career with RSNT that I had to win a stage in Paris Nice. Got there with F. Schleck, but he wasn't in good form to contest for the overall from the beginning. So what I did was make him lose some minutes each stage on the final kms, and then got him into the break on stage 7, which seemed the most breakaway-friendly. In the end he opened a 16 min gap to the peloton at one point, eventually winning the stage by 6 mins in a 3-man sprint. He was no threat on the overall, so the P let him go easily.

@lluuiiggii Out of curiosity, have you ever tried with a smaller teams ? I can honestly say that in over 200 stages/races I NEVER had a SINGLE breakaway reach the line. Always exactly the same scenario. Go on third break of the day(around 20Km). Get caught at the 25-20km mark. Of course if there was no player riders.., ie an AI only break, it would succeed quite often.
NB. I don't play the big teams, just the small ones where breakaways are bread and butter of staying alive(as in the real world)....
I found PCM11 to be dreadfully a repetitive and formula driven experience. No fun at all for the way I like to play.
PCM12 however I have had several closely faught battles between the peleton and breakaway. Most of the times the peleton catches the break, but sometimes it doesn't as IRL and previous versions of PCM. For this reason me pcm12 is a far better game. However since I do not manage "big" teams, I restrict my praise to my own playing experience. |

Do the sponsors get more happy if you go in breakaways etc? Showing the team jersey in a positive way etc.? or is it just going for the victory the whole point with breakaways is in pcm? |

Just results. But sponsor happiness and confidence has no effect anyway.

I guess you guys are right.
It is in general kind of realistic, both in PCM11 and more in PCM2012.
And again, it should be difficult at the beginning of each stage, especially when riding a medium to good team, and especially again if its a "small group" (7-10 riders) trying to break away. |
