Can somebody help me? I want my riders to develop faster, because my development rate is atm 0.2. I would like to change it with a DB Editor. Is this possible? If yes, how?
Greetings, Lokytrew.

In PCM 11 it was in DYN_manager I think. Not sure about PCM12. |

Hi guys. I want my riders to develop faster as well. Is the maximum 1 in the evolution thing that roturn mentioned? And can I change something in DYN_cyclists so that the riders will develop faster? Does e.g. the potential of a rider have any effect on the speed of a rider's development? Please give me some tips! |

Yes, in 2011 there was a setting which had an affect on the speed of evolution different for every rider, doesn't know the exact name (something with progression possibly), but you should find it at the right end of dyn_cyclist, with numbers from 1 to 5. 5 is “fastest“.
Should be still there in PCM 2012.
Keep in mind that this only change the point in the rider's career at which he develops fastest.
1 means “late bloomer“ (maybe like Wiggins in mountains...), 5 “Sagan-esque“.
The stat limits obviously aren't affected at all.

Okay, I found one column called gene_i_year_progression and one called gene_i_day_progression.
What does each of those two do? What effects do they have? |

You're welcome, that's what we helpful souls are here for
Additionally, I recently read here that potential is said to have no influence on rider progression at all, only setting the stat limits (thus making edits to potential in a save game useless, if I understand that correctly).
(I recall potential used to be one defining factor of the general progression ability percentage in 06 or around that, so it seems to have changed)

Sorry, missed that post
The first one is the one I talked about and which you have to edit.
The second one just shows the in-game days left until stats are updated. That one usually doesn't need a change.

gene_i_year_progression defines how fast/slow the progression will happen. 1 is very slow, 5 is very fast.
gene_i_day_progression defines when a rider will progress. Setting it to e.g. 1 means that the rider will have a stat boost the following day.
Ups, cio was faster
