How does this work? When I am in a breakaway the AI never relays at all. If I got maintain positions the entire breakaway splits up. If I put on relay then my rider goes for the relay but the other breakaways never ever helps. Why? Is this a bug?
Hmm. I have tried something now. I put my rider on relay and effort of 50% or so. Then it worked in some way. Can anyone confirm that reducing the effort will make the relaying in breakaways work?
I dont really understand the effort bit in this game. When you are in a peleton or group or whatever your rider still stays in the group if you have 40 percent effort? What is the point of having it on 65 percent if the rider does ok with only 40?
Yes, if you're relaying too hard the breakaway riders won't relay, it's like your calling all the work to yourself. In the same way, if you're on relay but effort is too low your rider won't join the relay. Usually the relay effort for breakaway is 50, and can be 60~65 for the last third of the race.
If you're on stay position, the effort relay means how much effort your rider will put into keeping his position. So, when the pace is low, having him at effort 40 or 70 is the same. However if the pace goes up, it might be that he starts to fall back with 40 but would keep the same position with 70 (you'll see the rider effort number blinking red when his effort isn't enough to keep position and he'll be sliding backwards on the group).
