With PCM 2012 the stages classification (plain, hill, mountain) is automatic. There is a way to change it with a dabase editor or another mode? |

Are you talking about the stage type? So basically that small symbol representing each stage.

I don't think that you can change it anymore. Unfortunately.

Rauling already answered your question.
But since the game automatically reads this information from the stage, I don't see a problem.
Changing a mountain stage into a flat stage for example would cause problems when simulating and would mess up the AI in 3D races. |

Yes, but for example a stage that should (would be better gameplay) be considered hilly might be considered flat by the game (e.g. the TDU stage finishing on top of the Willunga hill, especially since making it flat will give it a 3km sprint, which ruins the stage), for example.

Why not downloading a database which has all the correct names?
And obviously this also answered your question. Yes it is possible to change it.

It is easier to download a DB having correct names and then edit it to your liking. But do what you want. |

To answer your question, the names are in the Local.cdb (My Docs/PCM). Open it with the Advanced Editor V4 and find the stuff you want to change in STA_localized_string and STA_formatted_string. |

Normally you can find databases in the download thread.
But this one is even more easy to find as it is first link in the "Latest downloads" (look right)
https://pcmdaily.c...hp?did=874
Using the DB is recommended anyway because it is compatible with the latest patch. |
