In my story "Project 2030" I've gotten to October 2023. For the last two season several sponsors have withdrawn. This has caused an unusual problem: in the Continental Tour there are 36 teams that are named "Rabobank".
I went into the editor and saw that every sponsor except Rabobank and Euskatel had the "year_max" set to 2023. I changed this and put ever sponsor to 2050. I did this in January and after the season every team has signed with someone else then Rabobank. Strangely enough, 7 teams now have Sky as their sponsor.
I am aware that "year_max" might not have anything to do with it, but what is "gene_i_contract_end"? I have seen that several sponsors have it set to for example "-10" or something similar.
One more problem, even though I'm in 2023 (soon to be 2024) the message about new sponsors can for example say "Team A has signed a contract with Trilux. The agreement will run until 2015". Is this linked to "gene_i_contract_end"?
There's a fine line between "psychotherapist" and "psycho the rapist"
Well, I do know that it's the year when the contract ends, but I have no idea about the -10 stuff. It seems like the contracts that were signed this season all have the "correct" end-date, but I'm just at a loss when it comes to the messages saying that the contract will run untill 2015, etc.

Well gene_i_contract_end is (at least should be) the year that the sponsor contract ends. In non-savegame DBs they work normal, don't know why these weird values could appear in a savegame.
And the part about Rabobank and value_i_year_max, you're not the first one to mention this (that far away in careers it's much harder to find sponsors). I'm starting to believe that after the year set in year_max, the sponsor really withdraws from the game (supposedly it should be the max year a sponsor would be willing to stay with the same team - but then he could come back later).
