Gent - Wevelgem 2012. After a lot of attacks in the last 20 kilometers a front group of twelve riders arrives together at the last few kilometers.
Cavendish, Kittel, Sagan, Hushovd and Keukeleire opens the sprint and surely the one of them will take home the prize.
But what's that? Shooting up from behind comes Tony Hurel of Europcar and he beats Cavendish - not on the line but by several bikelenghts!
His stats? 56 COB, 65 SPR, 62 FL, 59 STA
This happens far too often in my carrer games even after I have patched the game. What's going on?
(I didn't simulate the race and all the favourites were on form).

Great form and a +5 day maybe? I doubt that Cavendish et al are at peak form at this point whereas Hurel appears to be in really strong form based on his other results.
It is still bizarre, but strange things happen in real life too.

I'm Liquigas, so I can say for sure that Sagan is at peak form.
When strange winners occurs in real life it's due to the favourites underestimating a breakaway. Not some unknown young french sprinter sitting unprotected with the favourites and then outsprinting them after 200+ kilometers of cobbles and hills.
Do anyone know if the AI uses training camps this year? Maybe these are rediculously overpowered? |

Like Geoffrey Soupe? Or Sebastian Turgot? But yes I know what you mean.
The AI doesn't use training camps this year. I'm not sure what it could be.

This guy could have 130 of form and it would still be a surprise to have all those results, specially winning G-W. It could be related to the stats bug introduced in one of the patches (but not the whole bug, since you see the best sprinters on top of the results).

Do you have Steam? I've read that there is a problem since the patch is a beta.

I have Steam, yes. Anyways, fingers crossed for a fix in the next patch, then. |

Well, then that's the reason. Patch 1.1.0.2 fixes the issue, but since it's only a beta patch so far, it hasn't been pushed to those who bought the game through Steam. |

Let me get this straight: I downloaded and installed the patch, but because of Steam it has no effect? And there's nothing I can do about it? |

The new patch has been released today. So probably not long until they will auto patch it on steam as well. |
