Bit of an early thread. This story will begin after last patch and latest with Daily DB available . So the proper racing and story will begin in around 2-3 weeks, but there will be some news throughout the waiting period and here you have the first one
And to add some spice to the story There'll be one rider joining the team too btw.
House Rules

- There's at least have to be 3 riders coming in our team in Transfer Window that are British
- If we don't fulfil 80% of our goals, we'll have budget cut and so more riders will leave than join, as well more likely our bigger stars will leave
- My transfers have to be reaslistic - same situation with transfers of riders in AI teams but less strict
- No Training Camps and no Reconnaissance camps, obviously.
- For British Media presence, we always have to include a Brit in a race squad
- TTT will be simulated. In longer TTT's, humans get massive advantage while in shorter, it's impossible to do well, so to balance this out, realistic simulation will come to play.

A Sky - story? i didnt see that one coming alakagom looks interesting from the start - but i really hope sky will be able to sign cav or does this already mean he wont be riding for sky?

Well, there will be changes. Either this year or next But more probably squad will remain similar this year and might drastically change for 2013. We have some financial troubles at Sky now
More will come later in the week, but we can say that Cavendish is very likely to join Omega Pharma. We can't afford his wage and in general it's better for him with less expectations there. And to Ian's questions, Edvald will be our main sprinter in most of the races
I'm glad to hear that!
That should open up a lot of opportunities. He'll be more likely to win more hilly sprints. And the team can focus more on mountains and hills that way.
I'm curious how you'll manage the team and what way the team's gonna go. Wiggins for yellow is probably its first task?
We'll see, it might be Brad's last year in the peleton so we definitely target Yellow, but who knows what can happen. At this moment in time we're assembling the team and all riders will meet up and discuss their goals.
For many, this might be last year at Sky and so good performances will be needed for them to sign up and with WT points to other big teams. But that's just speculations at the moment Edited by Alakagom on 20-06-2012 17:28
Thanks for not "reserving" a bunch of posts after the first one, I was getting tired of seeing every story start with it Although my guess is you might start another thread, since, as you said it yourself, it'll take some time until the story starts. Anyway, good luck, and let's hope it goes longer this time

Whats wrong with that, if I may ask? It keeps everything organised imo, although too much can get annoying 4 or 5 is probably a good number at most.
And nice "surprise" to hear about this Sky story! I bet everything will look great in here.

Nothing really, it's just that, as I said, it was nice to see something different. Same thing as when everybody started using quote boxes to highlight all sorts of titles They look good, but having them everywhere made it a bit 'unoriginal', or a bit boring, not sure what's the word I'm looking for here
Caaaaaan't WAIT! Great work Alakagom, I knew this was around the corner but still very exciting. I like that Cav will most likely go to OPQS, he seems to bring the team down a little imo. Are you going to poach one of their riders? Andrew Fenn maybe?
