Any news on what Cyanide will bring us this year, music-wise?
I've got to admit I've grown tired of those endless loops of songs of PCM 2011! |

I sometimes do, yeah. Especially on important races, as the commentator says interesting things at the start of the race.
And I fast forward quite a bit, so it's interesting to hear whenever there's a breakaway |

Well, just take the sound off and leave the rest on. Or change the music. But I'd be surprised if Cyanide brought new music again, after some years with the PCM10 one they changed it in PCM11, why'd they change again..

First thing I do with PCM is I set the level to extreme and turn all of the sounds off and play something proper
Doubt much change, but there's definitely a possiblity soemthing did.

I listened to it in PCM 10 when I was a noob, but now I hate it.
I have two screens so I'm usually watching something while I play..

Playing on extreme is pointless. It doesn't change the difficulty.
Just lowers all your riders' attributes by 2. What's the point of that. |

He means the AI doesn't improve, it just makes your riders worse.
It's what's known as "Fake difficulty". The computer cheats to compensate for not being smarter.
Basically it's what the Civilization games do, except this is child's play compared to the million massive ways the computer cheats in Civ

Which is exactly what I talked about in my earlier post
Several games do that. Up the difficulty, give the AI some advantage over you, not re-write the AI. It would be quite stupid if it was that way, in fact (for PCM). For example, on Easy, the AI riders would rarely attack or up the pace in a mountain stage so that you could attack and win. Now that'd be pointless imo.

You're all nuts. The same beautiful music as has been present in PCM since 1982 (or thereabouts) is still in 2012. Who needs klonopin when you have the PCM 2012 soundtrack. |
