I have a problem with the game. I thought I had also this problem a year ago when I played PCM 2009. I have now V2 of the 2012 db, and it works fine. But if I want to use 8x speed, he does it for a second, but then he returns to the normal speed. Sometimes it works longer, or shorter, but he always returns. After 10 times, he holds the normal speed, but it isn't how it has to work, is it? Does anyone know the problem and what to do? |

Well, there is the option "go back to normal speed when something special happens" (probably not the exact words, but you get the sense ). Special events are mostly attacks and crashes. So if you have activated that option, the speed will go back to normal anytime a rider attacks or crashes. Just deactivate it and you shouldn't have any problems.

Thank you very much! That is the solution!
I activated that button cause I thought that that ensured that the speed by the finish the speed remained equal to the rest of the race. Is there another option for that? |

No. You could raise the speed if it is too slow but normally you need all the time you can get in the final sprint. |

I did it once, it was quite a waste of time. |

I know, but the last 50 meter for the finish is so slow, that I don't like that...
but if it's impossible, then it's ok. |

I know, slow motion sprint finish. But wait a couple of weeks, you never know how it'll be on PCM 2012. |

There's no way to deactivate the slow motion finishes (at least as far as I know). But I think you'll be able to survive those couple of seconds If you do it with x8, it shouldn't be more than 3-5 seconds.

Are you kidding me? And you use pause as well? |

Not kidding you...
I use pause when i need it... if i am in the break, maybe i pause to check the others in peloton... i play in extreme and i can assure you if you play with small team(weaker riders) and comes the mountains, you´ll need to check them as they will loose contact very fast... i see this with my UnitedHealthCare story.... that´s why i play with x1 and because i like it... gives me more real feelling..

Wow, you must be extremely motivated
I like the story, I'll look at it differently knowing you're playing x1 now. It's true you have got to check up on your riders all the time. I admit that I play on x1 with a lot of pausing in the mountains myself, but I catch myself on x8 on flat races until the last 20 km (unless I'm in the breakaway, of course)
It has happened that I missed important things when going too fast, so I'm fast forwarding less then in the beginning when I played the game. |

Yes, indeed. Of course, it also depends on what race you're in. If I miss a chance in some unimportant race, well, doesn't matter then. You won't see my x8ing an entire stage in the Giro, though |

In some races, I'm more on pause than moving |
