Hi there, I've been making a GT from a selection of stages and classics that existed (so none were made by me or made on request). Now I've been adding that GT into the DB and no problems there. Only when I start a career I have to subscribe for the race (even though it has the column set to 1 where you force the WT teams to participate) and when I do it says pending... until the day the tour starts, while it's going on, and when it has finished. And when it starts, it starts without me!
I've been talking with luuiiggii and he has been looking into the DB to see if anything's wrong, but no luck so far.
He tested a couple of things, none worked though, can anyone else take a look and help us from this?
The things luuiiggii tried:
- Changing the racedate.
- Deleting and re-adding the race.
- He had put the giro as a normal WT race and my tour as Giro classification.
- I had put RvH in the CONSTANT column in STA_stage (to find my stages faster) and we tried if it worked with the CONSTANT column empty.
Again, none of these worked and I'm really desperate now, I've put so much work in this DB (it's based on PCMdaily2012 V1 DB).
Can anyone help?

Actually one test worked, when I added the race as a normal WT stage race it was fine.
Just remembered one test I wanted to do but didn't: tried copying and pasting (carefully) only this race and the race stages from timpiej's to the Daily V2 DB, but it didn't work.
Concerning the Giro as normal WT and your race as UCI class 21 (secondary GTs), another test concerning it would be to fill Giro in the Constant column and see if it worked. If yes, then the problem could be that the game doesn't accept 4 GTs (which isn't what I would have guessed initially).
Btw, Atalm's fantasy DB changed all three GTs, iirc, but all his download links are broken - does someone have the .cdb file and could upload it? I want to see if he created new races or only replaced the current ones (which would be an alternative to your problem, but you'd need to let go one of the GTs - but if that's the solution, then adding the race as a normal WT race is much better).

Ok, about the Giro-test, this is what I did (I think you meant this):
- In STA_race:
* Changed the fkIDnewUCI_class column for the giro to 23 and my race to 21
* Changed the CONSTANT column: cut 'giro' to my race
* Changed the gene_sz_classification_xml column: defaut.xml (giro) and top_italie_grandtour.xml (my race)
- In STA_stage:
* Changed the CONSTANT column: Giro0 to Giro20 added to the stages assigned to my race
Didn't work, still the same problem (pending).
I was thinking, is there a way where I can add my race as a normal WT race but give the same amount of points that is given in the tour. Is this problem? Because that would be an easy solution! If yes, how?

Yes, that's how I was thinking on the Giro-test. I thought it would work, though. Well you can also try pasting your stages info over one of the GTs, and see if it works. And no, I don't think there's a way to add your race as normal WT and give same amount of points as tour, unless you make all normal WT stage races with the same amount of points as tour or if you edit manually. Maybe you can start the career with normal settings, then before your race edit the amount of points given by normal WT stage races to be the same as the tour and after your race is over, you edit it back to normal, but not 100% sure if that would work.

Well, I was thinking more of making another class of classification XML file, but it seems like the latter only handles over the money and sprintpoints and sort of things you recieve, not the WT points.
With stages info you mean switching the fkIDrace column in STA_stage between mine and another GT?
Sorry if I ask stupid questions, but it's not that I'm a big expert in this |

Yes, classification files don't alter the points, it's tables STA_bonus_superprestige/UCI.
I meant like, copying your stage names, stage file names, stage type, length, time gap, and MO/HIL; uphill sprint columns from your race into the Giro or another GT stages. That would be replacing the Giro/Tour/Vuelta stages with yours. And then you test it. And no problem with the questions, they're aren't stupid

I will try the giro thingy tomorrow
So it would be useless to try and just make a new UCI class and copy the points-rules of the TDF to the self made class and assign my race to that class? |

A new UCI class race would most certainly mess up the game. Iirc some people tried such things to add a .2 race category when it wasn't included in PCM11.

Ok, I replaced the stages of the giro with info of my stages like you said, worked like a charm! |

So try making a new race out of it and see how it goes

What do you mean? That since the giro can be ridden with my stages there has to be a problem in STA_race? But you've looked into the STA_race table and said nothing looked wrong. So I'm not really clear in what en how to try... |

No, I meant like this:
You've changed the Giro information to your race info in both STA_stage and STA_race, right? Now, copy the original Giro stuff (from a backup DB, extract it again if needed) and try adding it as new lines on these tables (with everything the same except for the IDs). And then see if it works.
This way, we'll see if the problem was related to something in the adding-process of your race or if it's related to the game having 4 GTs.

Ok, I will try that, also I have a question, the computed date (so unixcode) was wrong, could that be the problem? I'm trying to change the gene_i_computed_date
column to test it later. |

It wasn't exactly wrong (the big numbers still appears on savegames). But indeed in "normal" .cdb files they usually appear as 50x[month number]+[day number]. But that wasn't the problem (I also tried to change it to the most used one while testing).

And reading your post #12 again, I have only copied the stuff in STA_stage, not STA_race.
And ok, then I won't change anything about that date column.

Well, while it wasn't causing the problem, I'd still change the dates. Here are the date values (as said, I'd already done this):
Spoiler 428
429
430
431
501
502
504
505
506
507
508
509

513

Oh ok, thanks but I used the unixcode, and the thing was when I recalculated, everything was wrong, like for example:
19th of september 2004 in the DB: 1095595200
after re-calculations I came to this: 1095552000 |

Now I copied everything from the STA_stage and STA_race from Giro to my race and the other way around and I could not subscribe for the Giro now, so the game can't handle 4 GT's as it seems to me (like you thought). |
