Hi guys,

The problem i have is really weird and I don't know what to do.

I'm currently in 'cirterium du dauphiné libéré' wanting to ride the 11th stage, and when I do a 3D race, after somewhat 85km in the race, the game crashes to windows just like that. It also happened with the previous stage and every time it crashed I lowered the graphics and tried again (like 3 times) and the game just crashed again, at a different moment in the stage(so it doesn't have anything to do with the stage itself i think) and then finally I finished the race with graphics everything on 1, shader model 2.0 and nothing else checked on the right. but now in this stage it crashes again like i said...

Normally the problem should really have nothing to do with graphics i think, cause i have a reasonably good laptop: ASUS X5QS bought this year, intel core i7 2.0GHz processor and Nvidea optimus graphic card of 2GB.

Anyone who can help me?

11th stage of Criterium du Dauphine? Pfft

3D crashes happen because the game reaches the 1,8 GB RAM limit. You can have the best computer in the world and it'll still happen. Lowering the graphics is the only solution. Maybe the stagemaker of this variant/race adds too much cities, etc in his stage, so it tends to crash more often than the other stages. Here's Cyanide's official statement about crashes on the middle of the stages:

Memory crash at the end of a stage
On a 32 bit application, Windows doesn't authorize a memory consommation above 1,8 Go of RAM. As Pro Cycling Manager 2011 uses the maximum of the graphic capacities, it can sometimes reach this limit. This generates crashes when the application runs with overestimated options. Reducing the graphic config is the only way to solve the problem.

Here are the principal reasons of memory overconsommation :
-overestimated option (with 'force graphic options' on)
-activating 'one texture per cyclist'
-using non official stages
-using non official graphical elements.
-playing in multiplayer mode

alright, thanks man!
it's indeed a non official stage made by a friend so i will set the graphics to minimum Smile

peace
