2012 DB game fail

Hi,
I have some problems with all the PCMdaily 2012 Databases:
I first installed the 1.0.4.4 patch and the game still worked fine. But after installing the 2012 DB, PCM isn't able to load any stage. As soon as I hit the button that turns the days to start a stage and PCM shuts down and a message pops up saying that an error occured.
Could someone please help me?
I just bought the game online and I'd really like to play with the 2012 teams, names and new races.

So you installed the DB, selected the DB in the options of the game and started a new career?
Does it also crash when you try to look at the stage profiles?
The most common error when installing this DB is not setting the installation folder correctly. During the installation you are requested to set the path, you HAVE to do change the path if your computer and your game are not english.
Look if there are two similar PCM2011 folders in C:\Program files\
If yes, then copy the content of the wrong folder into the correct one. (The correct folder is the one where the game is in: pcm.exe) |

Yes, I installed the DB and selected the DB. It also crashes when I look at the stage profiles. This is, only with the 2012 DB. I did already check the directory of the installation and I can only find one folder. Do you have anything other that may help me?

I do have to add thought, that pretty much all the logo's are displayed as a pink square. So something went wrong during the installation. Thought I have no idea what. I've installed the game (and the patches and DB's) multiple times and it didn't make any difference. |

Pink logos, crash when clicking stages = wrong DB installation, like Lachi said. I don't know where you installed it but definitely not in the right place. Normally you'd have two folders in Program Files/Cyanide, one with the English name of the folder (this folder would be created by the Daily installation), and one with the 'normal' name of the folder (French I guess? which would be the correct folder to install the game).

I will try to install it in a couple different ways, because I have some non-PCM-related troubles with my computer. If it doesn't work I will ask for some more help.

Both lluuiiggii and lachi thanks a lot. Your reply's made my day! I installed PCM 2010 the exact same way as I did 2011, but apparently that didn't suffice.

i have downlaod the patch 1.0.4.4 en download the newest db and i have the same problem as francois-pierre but i dont now wat i need to do can someone say in staps wat i need to do

Well I guess the easiest is to reinstall the DB (but that may leave some files unused in your PC just occupying space). The thing is, when installing the DB and asked which folder to install it in, click "Browse" and manually choose the game folder, which is located in C:/Program Files/Cyanide/ (name of game in your language).
Another way to correct it is: go to Program Files/Cyanide. There'll be two folders, one of them with the English name and the other with the 'normal' name. Copy/cut the files from the English name folder (Pro Cycling Manager - Season 2011) and paste them in the other folder, and that's all.
Not in steps, but there wouldn't be much to write in steps

im sorry bud i dont get it if i download it again it not works and when i open cyanide there stands only pcm2011 pcm2010 game center but i dont know if i open the good one where do i open it by start or by the download |

You don't need to download it again, just install it again (unless you have deleted the .exe files and deleted them from your trash as well).

Okay that doesnt work but Where i open THE cyanide map by documents or by start and than all programs if i do that i only get PCM 2011, PCM 2010 and game center but Where can i open the cyanide map
If you can speak dutch than explain it in THE dutch language |

Start -> Program Files/Cyanide/PCM 11. Reinstall the DB to this location (manually choose it).
And I can't speak Dutch.
