Game crash after videos

Help!! This is my favourite game and when i start it, it crashes after the videos. I've tried everything within my knowledge. I have looked on loads of forums and tried everything but it still wont work!
Any help would be hugely appreciated

I guess it is because of a broken save. It could also be the local.cdb or some other file which is broken therefore try in this order (Start game after each step to see if it helped)
1. Remove all files from the save game folder:
my documents\pcm2011\users\yourname\database\solo\name of the DB\
(In case you don't know which DB you played last, do it for all DBs)
In case it does run, you could try to put back one save after the other to see which one makes the game crash. Another way to continue your career would be to copy the latest file from the weeklysave folder to the save game folder.
2. Rename or remove the pcm2011 folder mentioned above.
In case it does run, you could try to continue playing your career same as with step 1
3. Delete the pcm folder in the roaming folder. (This would make you lose all achievements as far as I know)
How to access the roaming folder:
1. Open Computer then Local Disk (C .
2. Open Users folder.
3. Open your username folder.
4. Open AppData folder (*)
5. Open Roaming folder.
6. Delete Pro Cycling Manager 2011 folder.
7. Run Pro Cycling Manager 2011.
(*) Note that on some Windows systems the application data folder is hidden by default.
Here is how to make it visible:
Open the Folder Options by clicking the Start button and click Control Panel.
On the Control Panel, click Appearance and Personalization and click Folder Options.
On the Folder Options, click on the View tab.
Under the Advanced settings, click Show hidden files and folders and click Ok.
BTW: You can turn off the videos in the options of the game.

Thanks for the help. The only problem is, I have just reinstalled it so I dont have any saves. I have also renamed the main folder

Do exactly what Lachi says, and it will work.
Sounds to me like you didn't do step 3:

That usually happens if you have installed a database, but haven't installed the latest patch. |

You can download it here, but it should pop-up automatically when you launch the game if you don't have it installed.

Correct installation of DB:
1. Install the game
2. Install the patch
3. Install the DB
4. Select DB in the options of the game
Uninstall the game and try again if you still are stuck. (Do not deactivate the game during uninstallation.)
Also make sure that you install the DB correcty (by following the instructions precicely) |
