Invited Teams in New Race
sutty68
Hi Guy's, I have searched the forum posts and can't find the answer to this question, so here goesSad

When you have added a new race to your database, how do Teams get invited to race in itFrown

Do you add them yourself (if so then how) or does the game invite Teams automaticallyFrown

The race inscriptions are made in the beginning of the year. Therefore you need to add your race in the off season (post October 15th, before December 31st) otherwise the invited teams will indeed be messed up. Maybe you can fix it in DYN_team_race though.

You can force the World Tour teams to participate in the gene_b_ForceProtourInvitation in STA_race.
There is also the gene_ilist_fkIDteam in STA_race which should work?

If you want the good riders to participate you can add the race in STA_program_info

Yes, but as far as I understood the problem is that no teams have been invited to the race, not that bad or good teams have.
As for gene_ilist_fkIDteam, it's only for single player mode (when you choose the 'real' lineup of the race).

So the race was added correctly, that isn't the problem?

Well then, answering your first post, yes, teams get invited automatically. Normally the teams will go to the races in their country. The more teams you have from that country, the more teams should appear (obviously). One thing to make sure though is that the teams have the correct STA_calendar (did you add any teams? This should already be corrected if you download a good DB).

I am currently in the process of entering British teams and races, and in the STA_calendar i choose option 6 (USA-GBR-AUS-CAN)Frown

Does the column 'popularity' in STA_race make any differenceFrown

No.

So what's wrong with the teams that participate in the races? I still haven't figured out what exactly is your problem.

I have noticed that when i have added a British race to the Database and i check the participating teams, none are British basedFrown

Do the British teams have options 6 in fkIDcalendar in DYN_team?

In STA_race it gives you a list of teams in the column gene_ilist_fklDteam
I assume these are the invited teamsFrown

lluuiiggii already explained what that column does.

As for gene_ilist_fkIDteam, it's only for single player mode (when you choose the 'real' lineup of the race).

Which translates to: You would have to define the real lineup manually in that column.

That's what i have done, Thanks LachiWink

You're not making much sense.

Either way, there's no way you can see exactly what teams show up at what races in a career before you have started a save-game.
