Hi hope someone can help. I've downloaded and installed the 2012 pre beta to beta d/b. I have replaced DYN_team from my save game with the one from the d/b. When the save game is opened in lachis editor all DYN_team data is correct. However once in game only the old teams are showing. All other aspects seem ok. Save game attached, thx regards Jaywol.
Jaywol attached the following file:

I don't understand your problem. Did you start a career with the pre-beta and now you wanted to update your career?
I really doubt that this would work, but what do I know.
Are you sure that you created a new DB in my editor?
Are you sure that you loading the newly created DB in the game?

I find that I can cheat on the editing using your editor. If I open my save game and then open the beta d/b and save both, all the files are saved in the data folder of your editor. I then simply copy and paste the files I want to update ie teams, equipment, stages etc from the beta to my save game, overwriting them.
I then simply re-open the save game from the editor and then export to cdb, overwriting the save game with the new data. This way I can continue my career year on year, simply updating the database as I go.
I have never seen this problem before, despite having carried out this process many times, where the data in the database is correctly updated, yet the old teams show in the game. I have yet to check properly, but equipment, stages etc seem to be ok. Regards Jaywol. |

No I didn't. What information does that contain ? See also comment from Crue in another post further down 'The game reads the jersey abbreviation in DYN_sponsor'
I have updated all jersey abbreviations, but some of the mini maillots still don't show up. I havn't had time to check all in game jerseys yet though. I am also having issues with some team logo's. |

You don't need to update DYN_palmares_team. All that does is show the name of the team the rider rode for in X year (in his palmares page). Yes, there is a chance some palmares can be a little messed up, but either way, updating it or not isn't something 'fatal' on whether your game will work or not.
Also you can't simply paste the DYN_teams table from the 2012 DB to the 2011 DB. There are some changes in it. For example, team ID 17 - HTC Highroad - doesn't exist anymore in the 2012 DB. This means that all riders with contract on team 17, races with team 17 in and sponsors related to team 17 are quite messed up now. Also the last three teams in the 2012 DB - Green Edge, Champion Systems and Rusvelo - are added with new IDs.
Have you still got a 'clean' copy of your save (before you started editing)? Most likely you can find one among the weekly saves. Well if I were in the same situation as you, I would modify the existing teams which were deleted rather than changing DYN_teams table. Can be more time consuming, but it's much less chance it'll mess up your game.
So, for example, take team 17 - HTC Highroad - and change its name, sponsors and everything to Green Edge's. Then make some changes in the riders (DYN_cyclist and DYN_contract_cyclist) - release some and add anothers, and you're good to go.
It's hard to say what could be going wrong in your method (mini maillots not appearing, etc) since it would require further analysis of the DB, names of files and etc, while it's hard to figure out by reading a small paragraph.

Do the team ID's dictate which mini maillots and logo are related ? If so can I simply redo the ID column to match the 2012 DB ? |

Not the ID, instead it's the table gene_sz_abbreviation_jersey.

Ok I thought so. I have made sure all gene_sz_abbreviation_jersey match the correct files from the 2012 DB. Is this definately correct for logo's ? |

Yes. If the file names are matched and the 2012 DB files are installed, then it should definitely work.

Ok I will persevere. I have never had this problem before just copying and pasting data from the latest DB to my savegame. Thanks for the help. |

Finally cracked it ! The sponsers in DYN_team were not set up correctly. All graphics are now working. |
