Hi! My name is Martin de Groot and I'm the proud DS of the team LG - Trek. More info will probably come soon. We are already in the year 2012 so let next time I will tell you what happened in 2012.
Note: this is my first story. I'm not sure if it's going to work out, but I'm quite exited. I'm also not from an English country, so my English Grammar can be wrong.
Also, give tips and comments! I can always use it.

The Team
In 2011, LG launched a cycling team. This would be a continental team. LG had one main goal: Becoming a Force. A dutch force. Because the other departments of LG were not interested, LG Netherlands decided to launch it, and they got a lot of superstars. Let's take a look at their memorable first season.
2011 Review
Where everyone thought of Cancellara and Flecha, It was Tom Boonen who ruled the spring classics. Winning Milano - San Remo, The E3 of Harelbeke, Dwars door Vlaanderen, Gent - Wevelgem, The Ronde and Paris - Roubaix, Tommeke Boonen had an amazing season.
Boonen completes his triple by winning in Roubaix
In the Ardennes it was between a Luxembourgeois and a Belgian. Fränk vs Phil. The Amstel Gold Race and the Fleche Wallone where won by LG's Fränk.
Fränky wins on the Cauberg
But the prestigious Liege - Bastogne - Liege, was won by the Walloon Phillippe Gilbert. His dream came true.
Gilbert wins 'La Doyenne'
Into the mountains in may for the Giro d'Italia The real fight for the Maglia Rosa started in the last week. On the Grossglockner, Scarponi showed he was the boss. But the Dutchie Robert Gesink cracked the Italian and won the stage to the Monte Zoncolan. Up to Val di Fassa, it was Gesink again. He ended up winning the Giro d'Italia and leaving the Italians Scarponi and Nibali with nothing.
Gesink wins his first GrandTour!
In the warm France it was Bradley Wiggins who could hold the yellow in his hands for a long time. Because his team earned it on the second day. But with Fränk Schleck winning on Alpe d'Huez, his dream fell apart. The older brother of Andy did not win it though. It was the Spanish conquistador Alberto Contador! He caught back a minute in the Timetrial and took the yellow to Paris for his fourth Tour win.
4 Tours and still 28 years old. Armstrong can better watch out.
Another surprise of the Tour was André Greipel, walking out of the shadow of Cavendish, winning four stages. He won the green jersey and took it home. He also wore the yellow jersey for 3 stages. But he lost it on the ride to Luz Ardiden.
Greipel wins in Cap Fréhel
Roman Kreuziger won the Vuelta. The Czech worked together with his team mate Robert Gesink, and cracked Igor Anton. A 1-2 in the GC was a show of power by the Dutch team.
Roman is the king of Spain
'An amazing season.' said de Groot 'I'm proud of the riders that they could do this.'
But there came an end to an amazing season. And now it is 2012. Time for action.
What do you guys think? Am I doing a good job?

Sorry all but I did not thought enough about make a story. I think i just wanted to do something. I won't work on this anymore. I'm quite a lazy person, and this is just to much work for me.
Thanks for reading my introducton though. |

When I first started writing stories on here, some never made a page, some only made 2 to 3 pages, then last year I made 6 pages with the furthest I have stuck at a story and this year I look to be going even further.
Stick at it, its a good thing to do and people will like the story in time.
The best way to improve is to read all the other stories on here.

With the quality of that intro I think you should continue this. You can report whenever you want so there's no pressure. As fcancellara said remove the / on the photos, but other than that this looks really promising. I say go for it!

Well the beginning is pretty nice, I liked reading it Bad you've decided not to do the story, it indeed requires some work.
Btw, to fix the images removing the last / of each link won't work. The images don't work because that's not their direct link of it. To get it, you need to click on the image (on the imageshack page), which will direct you to another imageshack page, this time with your picture (in normal size) plus some 2 ads - now you right click the picture and click 'open in a new tab' or 'copy image URL'. That's the link you want to post in the image code for it to appear directly.

Making the review cost me one and a half hour, and because I'm still at school, I just can't get spare time. Thanks for the comments. This is not my last story. For sure. |

Just one thing, in case you ever consider doing another story (which, I agree with the other posters here, you could well do in a perdiod where you have more time and motivation, the beginning looks quite decent): Don't create such a super strong team. It's not too exciting to read about one win after another. In my opinion, dienblad's Monster Energy story was very close to the maximum of top riders you should have and your team there is even stronger.
