I know it's been asked a lot, but how do you add a team into the database using either the official or PCM fast editor? I'm not so good with creating teams, it never works. Could someone help me out, or send me a link to a guide or something? Thanks!

I am going to quote lluuiiggii awsome guide!
lluuiiggii wrote:
First, you create the team in DYN_team. Then, you create a sponsor and assign the sponsor ID in fkIDsponsor_principal (DYN_team). Now, the jersey_sz_abbreviation must be the same for both (sponsor and team), because if I'm not mistaken, the team info will be taken on account on single player mode but the sponsor info will be used on career.
After that, you just put the stuff in the correct places: jerseys and accessories go in Program Files/Cyanide/PCM/3D/Cyclists/Cloth/Team/ [jersey_sz_abbreviation]. The logo and minilogo (minilogo is only used for Detailed Simulation, so if you don't play it, you don't even need it) go to Program Files/Cya/PCM/Gui/team/ [logo or minilogo] and the minishirt goes to the same above, but instead of Gui/team it's Gui/team_shirt.
Make sure all the files are named correctly and are in the correct format/size (maillots, for example, must be 32-bit TGA). Finally, for a nicer gameplay experience, you can assign your sponsors regions of interest, so they'll want riders from certain regions. To do this, go to DYN_sponsor_regions and create lines following this (each line for 1 region):
IDsponsor_regions: unique number that doesn't really matter.
fkIDsponsor: the number you gave your sponsor on DYN_sponsor.
fkIDregion: the region number (see STA_region) or the country number (see STA_country)
value_i_importance: the importance of that region to the sponsor, going from 1 to 3
value_i_wanted_squad: how much % of your team riders the sponsor want to have from that region/country.
Good luck !

Most likely.
The CONSTANT and fkID_rider_orientation1 coloumns, what do they mean? Do I need to change them? Besides that everything's fine.
EDIT: - For some reason when I try to assign cyclist to the created team in the editor, it says all the unsigned riders are on my team, like 100-200 riders.
And I tried to play with all the unsigned riders as a test to see if it worked, it obviously didn't, and their ages where all weird, lik -5 ,-18 and so on.

The Constant doesn't need to be filled for new custom teams. As for fkId_rider_orientation 1, 2 and 3 they mean the type of rider's the team will go after. There are 7 types of riders, take a look in STA_type_rider. Also a good moment to quote CT in this:

Alright, that worked fine, found all the right coloumns
But, All the free agent/unsigned riders are contracted to my team for some reason, it will take AGES to correct them all. Any reason why this is?

I remember someone recently had the same problem, don't know what he did though nor I can find the thread now (found now: https://pcmdaily.com/forum/viewthread....ost_468657)
But well, what editor are you using? And all the FA went to your team in the normal DB or in the savegame?

I'm using the Fast Editor, I used the PCM 2011 database V1, when I saved all the changes I made, I saved it as a different name, so I ended up with the original PCM database v1 and my edited one with my team, then I went to add riders to my team and all the Free agents where assigned into my team. I also deleted HTC, so maybe that could have something to do with it?

PCM database v1? Did Cya release a v2? Guess you meant PCM.daily, but well that shouldn't matter.
Well try disabling lists in the Fast Editor and see what is the ID of the free agents teams. If it really is of your team (and not 119), then I suggest you use another editor, e.g. the Full Editor. And no, I can't see why deleting HTC would have any effect on this.

I deleted then re-added the team, and the problem was fixed, I assigned the riders I wanted to the team, I saved the database then launched the game, selected it and chose the team, and I got this error:
Spoiler Runtime Error!

Oh and also, I got the error AFTER the game crashed when I tried to select the team. What have I done wrong?

If the game crashes, then there is an error in the database.
You need to check all the added lines and your edits to make sure that there are no missing values or wrong fkID numbers (which do not exist in the other table).
If you are using the FAST editor, there would be a test function, but you do not need to fix all the errors which it might report, just fix the ones related to your recent changes.
BTW: You could edit your postings by clicking on that edit button.

Alright, the editor continued to crash, so I downloaded Lachi's editor, I prefer it actually, but I still can't manage to get it to work as I keep getting the same error. I have filled out all the coloumns that you need to and left the ones needed with the 0 value dor both the DYN_team and DYN_sponsor tables. It is beggining to become frustrating

The best way to find an error is to start again and test after each change. For example add the team first and link it to an existing sponsor. If you can start a career, add the sponsor and link it to your team. |

No, for some reason the Fast Editor crashes on me from time to time.
I don't leavve any empty, if there is a coloumn that all the other teams/sponsors have set to 0, I won't change it.
I'll try that and see if it works.

I just finished re-creating the team, joined it to an existing sponsor, and when I tried to export the .cdb it crashd and I lost my data.
