Right, for a while now, i've been making jerseys and accessories for PCM 10, but i want to branch out, i have ahd a look through the files for equipment, and can someone please give me a basic walkthrough of how to make the various types of equipment, such that tehy can be used in game.

Ha, was doing some search to put some links here when suddenly I realized your thread is about PCM 10, which makes things much easier, since equipment between PCM 10, 09 and (08? not sure about this last one) are compatible, and there are some templates available out there.
ANFreemna gives some basic explanation on this thread (ignore the autocolor part, it's for PCM 11):

But the better information for beginners comes from KenL's awesome pictorials. In his sticky thread, Templates for new PCM'ers, in page 5 I think, he gives templates for TT and road frames together with an image pointing everything what on the _d file corresponds to what on the bike. And lastly in this another KenL's thread, there's more bikes templates plus some discussions about equipment in which you can learn some stuff.

Well, I'm no equipment maker, but as far as I'm concerned it's all about knowing where is where on the bike. Painting and putting logos doesn't seem to be really hard, and if you can create a decent jersey then you probably can do the last part as well. So just need experimenting, and trying. There's no such thing as a 'equipment creation' guide, but what you can do is open the _d file, open NifSkope (works for frames until PCM 10) and see what is what, and repaint the equipment.

Btw, you need to search a little bit more, I already put here the most useful links, but the templates thread is a sticky one!, and the others I all found with a 3-min search in 'make equipment' (except for the last one).

Kind of unrelated, but with what programs can you see PCM 11 equipment in a viewer?

In the cyclist viewer (CTCylistEditorApp.exe) or NifSkope.

You can also do that with 2011 frames but you´ll see a small and a big frame. Right-click on one frame and then choose "Block" and "remove" to have only one frame. But don´t save the .nif after doing that Wink

No, this will appear if you try to open a PCM 11 frame with NifSkope:
