I have been a member of PCM.daily for awhile now and I hopeful that someone can help me. I always have trouble when I attmept to download a database. Could someone post a manual for how to download and implement one of these cool databases that I see. Also, I would like to use some of the jerseys that have been created in the site, but I do not know how to do that either. I am terribly afraid to manipulate the program and was hopeful that I could get a simple walk-through of how it works. Thank you to anyone that can assist me. It is very frustrating to race with Cadel Evens form the CBM squad!! |

I have tried Fenian's and the pcm.daily's V1 expansion pack. With both of them, I direct the download (via flashget) to download to Program Files/Cyanide/PCM. The downloads finish and I am unable to find them anywhere. I know this seems pretty basic to most of you, but I seem to get lost when you all speak of torrents and the like. I just want to click download and then install. I think I might be too old to understand the other stuff. I really do appreciate all the assistance.

What happens when you try to download a DB? What can happen is if you're downloading through the internet, it's a long download, and if your internet goes off for a second while it's downloading the download is going to stop. The solution for that is to use a Download Manager, like Flash Get (you can find a download link for it below the title of any download on PCMdaily's site). You can also download the Daily's DB by torrent, and maybe others too.
As for installing, normally you have instructions, so I can't see how I could help by repeating them here. Some DBs like Daily's one come with an installer, making it easier.
As for using the jerseys, you can either be replacing a jersey or creating a custom team. This article could give you a basis, but keep in mind the directory of shirts has changed in PCM 11 to 3D/Cyclists/Cloth/Team/team abbreviation. And searching you can also find some more detailed info.
Well that's a brief, there's no tutorial but searching you can find some good info and then you can ask your doubts more precisely. Good luck.

1. Download uTorrent.
2. Download the torrent file here.
3. Double clicking the downloaded torrent file should open it in uTorrent. If it doesn't, open uTorrent. Then, when it's opened, go to the left corner, click File and select Add torrent, then point it towards the downloaded torrent.
4. The "actual" database will now be downloaded. This will probably take a while.
5. When finished, you can right click the file in uTorrent and select "Open containing folder" or something like that.
6. In the folder that opens you should be able to see a file called PCMdailyExpansionPackV1.exe. Double click it and follow the guide. |

You are not supposed to install the PCM.daily Pack to My Docs/PCM. If you point the installer to your main PCM-folder (Program Files/Cyanide/PCM), it will automatically place the database file in the correct folder. |

Oh yeah ones with an installer go in Program files but I thought others were supposed to go in My Docs... |

.cdb files are, yes, but since this thread is about the PCM.daily Pack it's irrelevant. |
