I would like to know your taktics for the uphill sprints. I cant figer it out how the hell you must do it. I lose every time. Riders way worst than me just pass me like i were standing. Usually i atack with the energy gell just before the atack botom is gone (1,6 or 1,1) with more than enaugh green yellow and red bar. I get for a few seconds at the front and then everyone just pass me. I have better mountain, and hill stats as the others and the still pass me. What am i doing wrong?
It's hard to say what you're doing wrong, as there are a lot of factors involved: daily form, fitness of the riders, how much green bar left (can be influenced by a rider being protected or not through one or several days, also recovery). Another thing is that there is this value in the DB called 'gene_uphill_sprint' or something like that, which defines whether it's the hill stat or the sprint stat being used in a sprint.
But mainly in my opinion what matters is how much energy your rider have left when it comes to uphill sprints. The fresher rider is much likely to do better no matter what his stats are (although they usually are better since he's fresher). And btw, if it's really an uphill sprint (let's say >5%) going from 1.6 or 1.1 kms can be a really long way. In a sprint, the performance of the rider goes along with the bars; it's not like he'll go with a constant performance until having one of the bars empty and only then he'll slow down. A rider with a 80% full red bar can sprint better than a rider with 20% full red bar (ignoring the others). That way it might be more interesting to go for the big acceleration later even if you finish with some red bar f.e. left. So try staying in the wheel of someone and making the move in the right moment rather than facing the wind from the start.
Btw, emember it doesn't matter if your rider is with 'more than enough green, yellow and red bar', it matters if the other riders are better or worse than him in. Well, these are the things I take into consideration, others might have different opinions, but anyway good luck.
