Is it possible to add a new race to an already exsisting game or do you have to start a fresh careerFrown

It`s possible. Just edit STA_Race and STA_Stage in the savegame cdb instead of the database cdb file.

Also you should do it in the off season in winter to have it in the next season. If you want to play it already in the actual season, you need to edit much more or it`s not possible, not totally sure. But it`s definitely not enough just to edit STA_Race and STA_Stage then.

Yes, just edit the savegame (instead of the normal DB). Unless I'm mistaken, it's better to add them after Oct 15th and before the next year begins.

Lol, some seconds late and said pretty much the same thing as Roturn in a less explained way Pfft
