Startlist Help
gezz1984
Hey every one,

Im really sorry if this sounds like a stupid question but where do I get start lists from and how do I import them into my career? i.e. what files do they go in?

If never really bothered with them, but I have just started a vuelta and noticed im racing against Contador, Rodriguez, Vinikourouv et al who have all raced over 55 days. Is this realistic? As I know the maximum race days we can have before incurring a penalty is 60.

Is there any way I can see the computer generated startlist before a race/tour? I have seen a lot of stories with startlists, are these computer generated or user created?

Also will a start list destabilise my game?? While racing the TDF I had a lot of game crashes I think due to Graphic issues so im always wary about this.

You can't use startlists during a career, just in the stage/tour mode.

AH okay, so how do people that create stories get their start lists??

They enter the race, press spacebar, Export -> Export Startlist. The startlists will be found on My Docs/PCM/Users/[your username]/Export/StartLists.

I managed to import start lists into my career. It was a lot of work, but the results seem quite satisfying to me personally. Smile I use a personal adaptation of the PCM.Daily-DB
What I did:
- I searched for startlists on the web, and made others myself
- I used each startlist in tour/stage/classic mode, and exported the files with the ExcelEditor.
- For each race, I copied the cyclist and team ID's into the DYN_team_race of the DB I was making.
-I make a backup of the DYN_team_race file
-Start a career
- On January 2nd, I export the career file with ExcelEditor.
-I copy the backup DYN_team_race race into the map with the extracted data of my career.
- I (re)Build the career file using ExcelEditor.
-Done

I'm not sure this is a clear explanation Smile Sorry for my English. Anyway, it was a hell of a lot of work it seems to work now!

If anyone is interested, I guess I could upload the DB and the backup DYN_team_race file that I use.

Really no need to bring up old threads if you already posted in another thread with the same topic.

Is this in PCM, real life or both?

Just PCM Wink

Most cyclists do around 60, but many do much more than that. Ian Stannard did 94 days last year, giving one example. As many others Wink

Fuglsang had most race days last year with 104 for example.

Is this question for real?
Let me rephrase the sentence of gezz1984 to make it more clear for you:
The maximum race fitness of a rider will decrease after he raced 60 days. It will be reduced by 1 for every two additional days. (The max. race fitness does range from 0 to 20, so you can compensate somehow by raising the training fitness, which ranges from 0 to 80)

Yes it is, I have only followed cycling since the TDF last year...

Thanks for explaining it is fitness - I thought he meant a monetary fine but I need to adjust my season planner races then Embarassed
