Hi,
and first of all I want to thank you for this website!
I started to modify some frames to fit my (optical) needs. Nothing worth to post here, as it was just a first test.
Now my question: Is there any way to create a preview from the frames? |

You can do that either with the cyclist viewer that comes with the game or with NifSkope.

Did you try to load one of the original files with the cyclist viewer? Maybe your image is just broken. |

... I still can't manage to create a tga from my frames so that I could see them when choosing my equipment. It shouldn't be much of a work but I just don't know how.
Please, could anyone give me a hint? |

If I've not missed something there's nothing said about making a preview for the equipment choice. There is so many new equipment in the extension pack. Are there no pictues in the game? |

No, there are no pictures of the equipment in game, when selecting equipment. I wouldn't worry about it too much, but I know that you need to have the image fro the preview chosen in the DB somewhere.

Ok, I've never done this but this should be the way to add pictures for the equipment in the selection screen:
1 - Open your equipment in a equipment viewer (CyclistViewer, or NifSkope - although the latter does not work with frames);
2 - Take a screenshot of the equipment;
3 - Add it as a .tga file in Program Files/Cyanide/PCM/Gui/equipment_photo (for the size of the image, you can look at the ones that already are there - or, easier, you can open one of those, paste your screenshot and save it with another name)
4 - In a DB editor, open you local.cdb file (found in My Docs/PCM)
5 - Go to STA_TGA and add a new line:
IDtga: unique number - write it down because you'll need it later
gene_sz_TGA: name of your file in gui/equipment_photo (finish the name with .tga)
Constant: add nothing
game_sz_directory: the directory of the file inside the PCM folder - in this case, gui/equipment_photo
6 - In the normal DB you want to edit, go to STA_equipment. Choose the equipment you wanna add the photo and in gene_tgaID_photo, add the unique ID you gave your image on STA_TGA (step 5)
That should do it. Good luck!

It works like a charm! I tried with all the campa-wheels. The feeling is much more complete when I can see what I choose.
Again, thank you verry much! |

With Lachi;s editor, you can open up multiple DB's, meaning you add what you need to in the local.cdb, then just switch to the DB that you want to edit. I am pretty sure you can do this with all the other major editors as well
