Sunday 15/5/11 - The Meeting
Today I was flown to Los Angeles from Las Vegas(where I landed from perth yesterday), I met with the Creator of PCM Tom Ali at a small Cafe in the outskirts of the city. 
To tell you what happened in a shortened way. We got in a fight where i ended up telling Tom that he is a lazy prick who should just make the game for Mac whether or not i make the challenges anyway. He told me no, if i fail he will never make a game for Mac and he will publish that i am the reason there is no PCM for Mac.
I told him, he can shove his challenge because i could make a real team better than anything he could even imagine. That's when he agreed and said to me, Ok then, make a real cycling team, i dare you. I was shocked, but full of adrenaline, in the spare of the moment i said "alright then you son of a bitch, 2 years, i will have a cycling team, and we will win the Tour de france." I then stormed off while throwing my business card at him.
Now I'm home, regretting and to make things even worse, Steve Jobs, my icon and also my Boss is now dead.
Me and him were close, i feel like i should do something to remember him. |

Monday 16/5/11 - The Idea
Today at work all of my staff and people of a high rank in our Offices were called to the top floor, we were having a skype call with the big bosses in the US.
We sat in the meeting staring at the screen as Tim Cook was reading a speech about Steve(JOBS). They said, we need a way to remember Steve, but more than just a monument. There is a million monument's out there for different people, but Steve changed the world, we need something big to remember him by.
Thats when i realised, A cycling team, for Steve Jobs.
I knew it was a longshot, so i decided not to say anything to Tim because if he didn't like the idea i would never be able to get a job anywhere in Apple again.
I decided i will stay up late and draft out a Jersey, a list of names and get everything organised before i even think about going to ask about this idea.

Monday 16/5/11 [Later that night] - The Brainstorm
Today I spent the whole night planning everything.
I also checked my emails and i've received a email from Tom Ali telling me to take this blog down.
I Say NO! Tom, if you are reading this, i will not delete this, This is going to be the story of how i will overcome your challenge and make you do as i wish!
This is not my first time organising a cycling team, I also organised a under 25's Team and all the sponsors.
I've written down the names of rider's that have contracts ending in the 2011 season or rider's i really want and would be willing to try and get to break contracts.

Wednesday 20/6/11 - The Approach
I have spent the last month preparing Rider's i think would be good for the team, crunching the numbers on a budget plan and working out which sponsors would be handy.
Today i went and met with my Boss Tony Fadell and approached the Idea, He loved it.
Tony for one hates Cycling but says the idea is unique, wonderful and is the perfect way to remember Steve.
Later today i received an email telling me that he(Tony) told Tim Cook the idea. Tim is the CEO of Apple, Steve's friend, Steve's Student and Steve's Right-Hand man. The result of the discussion was that i would be on the first plane to California to talk about how this is going to happen.
Cannot Wait, hope you are reading this Tom.

It's a very interesting start indeed. Gonna be interesting to see how this plays out.. however may 2011 is not the date Jobs passed away (not that it does really matter).
Anyway, keep it going, I'm liking it!

Thursday 21/6/11 - The Meeting [& Flight]
California here I am!
The Flight here was amazing, first class, all paid for. The best part was the fact that...Spoiler I WAS ON A AIRBUS A380!
When i finally arrived at the Apple headquarter's after checking-in at my hotel, Tim Cook was outside waiting for me he said ' lets go for a meal, you must be starving ', so we both got into his limousine and off we went to the finest restaurant in California(so he says).
When we arrived and were seated i could see through the window that there were paparazzi outside trying to get a glimpse of Tim. Tim calmly says 'Lets not get distracted, we are here for business'
So I began talking.
'Look Tim, i'm not sure if you know anything about cycling but its a gruelling sport for riders and' before i could finish Tim interupts and says ' I love cycling, my favourite rider is Mark Cavendish, i know everything about how much money is needed, i just want to know your opinions' I was stunned, i didnt think he was the sort of guy who likes cycling, but i decided to continue.
'Well, ive got a list of riders that i think would be good that have contracts ending this year or ones i'd try get to break contracts, which can be found here * points to peice* and a list of co-sponsor's for bikes and clothing here*points* and lastly a jersey *here*
Then, the food arrived, it was huge! Tim said he loved it all, he loved the way Steve was going to be remembered through this and mostly he loved the planning. Tim said that in one week he will have financials organised and said i have 2 weeks to organise sponsors, Then there will be a press meeting to release it and then another 10 weeks to organise Rider's (if i haven't finished).
Now i'm at my hotel just about to ring specialised, maybe a clue on one or two rider's i've already talked to about joining *HINT HINT*

Judgement day - Team Steve - Apple
Over the last 3 weeks i have organised sponsor's (and some rider's) and we have finally come with our team.
Team Steve - Apple
Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has last an amazing human being. Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple.
Today i wish to Announce the way we at Apple are remembering steve, through a new proffesional cycling team project called Project Steve and we plan on making this the best ever cycling team, we are doing this for you steve.

Hello everyone reading my blog.
I am today not allowed to show you the full roster of my team but i am going to do a quick presentation of our team leaders for Season 2012.
Team Leaders
Mark Cavendish
Mark 'Manx Missile' Cavendish is the fastest Cyclist in the world on a bike. Mark was expected to ride with Sky in 2012 but because of a problem with Bike Sonsors and Clothes sponsors he opted to choose Project Steve. Mark once again would like to target the Le tour and Project Steve will enable him to do so.
Cadel Evans
Cadel Evans has proven himself to be the one man everyone doubted him to be, he won a grand tour. Cadel will be setting up his season to defend his title at the tour.
Philippe Gilbert
Philippe Gilbert won the tripple in the Ardennes classics this year and is the best Puncheur in the cycling world. Philippe will target the classic's once again this year.
The whole roster shall be released in the next 6 months. |

Yeah it might be some time til first stage because I'm going to edit the PCM 2011 Database. but the only thing is i don't want to change all different stages, so it will all be 2011 stages. |
