I recently got the game and was trying to alter the names and stats in a database I had just created, but whenever I went off someone, their name and stats and everything else changed back to how it was before, how can I fix this or download someone else's database with all the real names? I should add that I have seen a link above this that talks of a full edit database, but it doesn't let me go on it.

Well, I'm assuming you're using the editor that comes with the game, right? In that case you need to click 'Edit' on the bottom right to save the settings before changing to another rider. So here's a tip: don't use the editor that comes with the game, it's really bad. However it's really simple to use, so if you're once in a while editing very simple stuff then you can use it.
As for the DB, you can download the PCM.daily's Expansion Pack V1. It's one of the best out there: lots of teams and riders, real equipment, lots of races, and, well, pretty much everything else that you can read on the link above.

I haven't got the game yet, hopefully I will get it early next week.
I just wondered how easy is it to correct the name data base, for example do I just download it and thats it or do I have to place it into a folder or something?

Most databases are packed in .rar, so you have to place the folders yourself... unless you download the pcm.daily pack, which has got an installer which put the files in the right folders for you  |

Depends on the DB you're downloading.
For example, if you download just a real name DB, like the one in Lachi's post, then you have to copy the file to My Docs/PCM11/Database (assuming you'll be using the latest patch; otherwise the directory will be different).
If you download a full DB, you may have to place some things into some folders, but some DBs, such as the PCM.daily one, come with a self-installer, so it's very easy to install it.
Either ways it shouldn't be hard, and there are easy to follow instructions on how to install the DB. If you're still finding problems, you can ask the community members.

Well the game has arrived and I've loaded it onto the pc, I also tried to first do the 4G data base which seemed to be taking forever and my Internet connection is good so gave up and tried just the names which brought up a page of randoms.
As I seem to be having trouble is there a list of riders etc so I could do it manually or has anyone any other ideas?
I downloaded the recommended installer and at 40 mins it had managed 1% didn't think it would take that long, looking forward to trying it out ASAP

If my link does not work, then go to the download section (can be found on the left of this page), then go to the database sections where the current databases are, then look for the "Boogerd DB V1.2" and download it. |

If you don't plan to play the game now, then you could start the download of the expansion pack now and keep your computer running until it has been downloaded.
When downloading the expansion pack, you might want to use the five Multiupload.com links because the torrent depends on seeders. |

Climeon, if you want to try the full PCMDaily database again via torrent I'm seeding it. It's on my media server so machine is on through the night. Overnight is best - no Virgin media traffic shaping from now until morning |
