Acqua & Sapone 2011
sam1196
i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz103/sam1196/AquaeSapone.png

Aqua & Sapone is a professional cyling team since 2002 and rides is the continental circuit but often participates in Italian World-Tour races. Mario Cipollini, Bo hamburger, Danilo Di luca, Lucca Paolini and many other great cyclists have raced for our team. Now we are trying to get to the next level: UCI World Tour.

Our squad isn't the strongest but certainly is strong enough for the Continental ciruit.

A group of 8 riders gets away names are: Stortoni, Bileka, Proni , Bellotti, Zagorodny, Vona and Lemoine. They have an advantage of 6 minutes halfway but Lampre and Ag2r are pullin the pack to 1'45" when the climb starts with pieces of 3% it's not very steep but exhausting.

i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz103/sam1196/PCM0019.png
Stortoni and Zagorodny are the first 2 attackers in the first group.
i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz103/sam1196/PCM0020.png
Bellotti is clearly the best and reals them in.

i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz103/sam1196/PCM0023.png
Stortoni and Zagorodny are paying cash for the early attack from the group Bellotti is making a very quick pace and Proni suffers.

i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz103/sam1196/PCM0024-1.png
lampre is making the pace in the pack that splits in 2 pieces all Acqua riders are in the first group.

i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz103/sam1196/PCM0026.png
The only one capable of following Bellotti is Vona. Proni tries to stick with a very strong Bileka.

i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz103/sam1196/PCM0029.png
The stage victory will be decided on a 14% slope between Vona and Bellotti.
i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz103/sam1196/PCM0030.png
Bellotti raises his arms. Proni 5th. Nocentini placed a jump i the last 2km. Masciarelli was the only one capable of following
the main group from Acqua Proni comes in 3rd in GC by gaining seconds in intermediate sprints.

Giro della Calabria Stage 2 Soverato - Vibo Valentina
i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz103/sam1196/PCM0011-12.png
A long stage for the stronger sprinters so we'll do everything Napolitano stays in the first group.

i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz103/sam1196/PCM0002-20.png
When the last climb starts the break is catched.

i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz103/sam1196/PCM0003-17.png
No attacks on he climb but a very hard pace that rips the pack apart. Napolitano is in he first group, Pettachi isn't.

i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz103/sam1196/PCM0005-16.png
Liquigas forms a train for Sabatini, Napolitano can't find his way to the front so Miholjevic must try to do something in the sprint.

i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz103/sam1196/PCM0006-17.png
Turgot is clearly the fases at the moment Miholjevic does what he can.

i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz103/sam1196/PCM0008-15.png
Only four riders left to battle for the stage. Fischer, Weissinger, Sabatini and Turgot.

i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz103/sam1196/PCM0009-10.png
Fischer wins in the last meters he overtakes Turgot who has accelerated to ealry. Miholjevic 6th.

Q: You were one of the pre-race favorites what went wrong today?
A: The climb was just so hard that i wasn't fully recovered for the sprint. I also couldn't get in a good position.
Q: Tommorow is another sprinter stage what are the plans?
A: I know my form isn't very good at the moment but i'll try to make something out of tommorow.

Giro della Calabria Stage 3 Pizzo Calabro - Reggio Calabria
i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz103/sam1196/PCM0012-7.png
Today's stage is not so hard as yesterday, so a mass sprint is most likely.

i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz103/sam1196/PCM0013-6.png
Marzoli, Ratto and Pasqualon are in the break of the day. on the climb De Maar and Malori have made the jump. Marzoli has to gain points on the KoM sprint and so he does. A first good result is there Marzoli KoM in Giro della Calabria!

i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz103/sam1196/PCM0015-6.png
When the descent is over the pack controlled by Liquigas catches the breakaway.

i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz103/sam1196/PCM0017-6.png
An unorganised sprint is what follows, Napolitano has Fischer's wheel.

i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz103/sam1196/PCM0019-1.png
Soon Fischer accelerates but no problem for Napolitano Weissinger tries on the right.

i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz103/sam1196/PCM0020-1.pngµ
Naoplitano jumps away and the only one with the same speed is Sabatini but he's way back.

i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz103/sam1196/PCM0022-1.png
Yes! Napolitano wins in front of Sabatini and Ale-jet who came out of nowhere.

When you want to have those great tables, you have to select every row. (Position, name, team, time.) But it should be enough for the readers if you mark the name of your riders.
