Question - speed

I was just wondering some values about the speed the riders go sometimes and I thought this was the best place to ask it (yeah, I'm quite - read 'very' - new to the sport)

Anyway what's about the max speed a rider get in downhill? I've seen 100km/h in the TdF, but do they go faster?

And what about flat sprint? Another video: Farrar goes 78km/h in sprint training.

Sprint in a stage, after 150~200 kms? What's the average speed on the sprint of a flat stage on the TdF, first week, let's say?

Lastly, the 200 meters time trial in track? World record for that is 9.572 seconds, which gives a speed of about 75,2 km/h. If Farrar (and I guess other sprinters) went 78 for about 11 seconds on the flat, can they beat the WC?

Thanks, do not forget I'm new to the sport, and so some question might sound ridiculous, but anyway...

The Farrar figure is obviously wrong/not achieved in regular conditions. A bunch sprint is usually 60-65 km/h.
No, Farrar wouldn't beat any track sprinter without a specific training. Check out who is Theo Bos, that'll make a long story short. Wink
