Team presentation
Leaders
Sami Sanchez is our key rider. He will aim for a podium finish at the Tour de France. He will also be our man who will try to win Vuelta Ciclista al Pais Vasco to satisfy our sponsors.
Anton is one of the best pure climbers in the world. The Vuelta with its course will suit him perfectly. He lead this race last year before he abandoned after a fall which makes him one of the favourite this year. He wil also aim for Top 10 results in the Ardennes classics and one week races with mountains and hills like Tour de Suisse.
He's our best sprinter in the team. He will try to win more races than last year.
Smaller Races:
Egoi will be a very important help for Sami Sanchez and Anton in the mountains in both Grand Tours. He will also aim for mountain jerseys in smaller races like Paris-Nice.
Amets is our fighter. He will be in many breakaways but also a very usefull helper for our captains in hilly and mountain races.
Sicard is our young gun. He will aim for smaller one week races where he can be our captain. He will be riding in his homecountry in Paris-Nice and Dauphine like last year where he showed us his ability in the mountains. His first Grand Tour will be the Vuelta where he will help Igor Anton to win.
Mikel Nieve rode a fantastic Vuelta last year where he was so close on finishing Top 10 in the GC. This year he will try to get into the Top 10 and help Anton winning it. A Tour de France start is also possible. At Tirreno he will start as the captain.

Australian Championships:
No rider of us at the Australian championships. What a surprise!
In the ITT Cameron Meyer from Garmin-Cervelo Team successfully retained his title as the timetrial champ of Australia sheer in front of his teammate Jack Bobridge.
The result:
In the road race the discovery of last year's Giro d'Italia, Richie Porte won with a solo in front of Heinrich Haussler.

FAVOURITES:
The course is sprinter friendly this year. Only one stage where we can expect time gaps (Willunga Hill). The sprinters should be the favouries here. Tom Boonen, Tyler Farrar, Daniele Bennati and Boasson Hagen should be the best sprinters here. But the Australian are not to forget here in their homecountry (Cooke, Hunter). But we'll see. The form will be a huge factor.

Santos Tour Down Under Stage 4
Norwood-Strathalbyn
Bobridge, the Australian TT champ wins the mountain sprint out of a 14 man group with Hondo, Bak, Guesdon, Quinzato and again Garcia Acosta.
But the group was too big. But the group managed to get over the first and only mountain sprint of the day before the peleton catches them. The veteran Garcia Acosta got first over the mountain.
After the group got caught only Lancaster and Hondo for the second time today tried to get away.
So both got first and second at the intermediate sprint. Hondo, Lancaster and Sabatini out of the bunch were the first three here.
30 km's to go the duo got caught from the big pack. The lead was never bigger than one minute.
3,4 km: Bennati, Sabatini and leader Thomas in very good positions. Who will take the win today?
1200 meters before the finish line Perez in promising position directy behind Goddaert.
Farrar with enormes endspeed winning the stage. Perez and Isasi with nice results. Both in the Top 5. Great day for us.

Santos Tour Down Under Stage 5
McLaren Vale-Willunga
Queen stage today. Like every year Willunga Hill decides who can win the Overall and who not. This should be very interesting.
No groups could be created before the first sprint of the day. Hunter and G.IZAGIRRE were able to do that but the sprinterteams chased them down and Boasson Hagen could get 4 bonus seconds as 2nd. IZAGIRRE 3rd. After that the field was back together.
Hunter again with an attack and this one was successful. Jorgensen from Saxo Bank was his companion. Hunter also won the second intermediate sprint and made up some points and seconds in the GC. Farrar 3rd.
The peleton close up the gap the the duo before the first hill. Hunter wins the mountain spint. Jorgensen 2nd. Ignatiev, G.Izagirre and Kiserlovski sprinted out of the bunch to get some mountain points.
The peleton got together over the last mountain sprint where Igantiev got the maximal points. Bak and MINGUEZ were the next riders to get points and all have the same points in general.
5km: Sky at the front of the pack but we're looking strong, too.
1 km mark: Good results should be possible. Both of our sprinter in very good positions. Hope they have the right wheels.
Close one for Thomas. PEREZ got beaten within an inch. Very sad! But strong performance of our team. ISASI 8th and VERDUGO 13th. And mountan jersey for MINGUEZ.
The results:
Stage:
GC:
Thomas should win the overall here. He's clearly the strongest here and Sky seems to be very strong, too.
