Hi all friends.
If I run a single race I can set default fitness and random fitness. Which option is better??
And if I set default fitness, ingame all rider's fitness appear set in 89: 2 questions about that:
1- Can I change this value in the database or anywhere??
2- The riders of other teams have their fitness set in 89, too?
Thanks in advance for your answers and help!! |

Well, I think there's no better option. If you do not want the same thing as always (f.e. always Schleck and Contador winning the mountains) you could try random fitness, so with some luck other riders could go better. If you want no surprises, so indeed Contador and Schleck winning mountains, or at least if you want the game to be 'fair to all riders', you might want to chose default fitness.
Yes, riders of other teams will have fitness 89 too, and I believe (not sure though) you can't change this value.

The riders' form levels can be altered in the DB (DYN_cyclist) |

Thanks for answers.
I have tried to look in DYN_cyclist but I don't know where you can change the default fitness value.
Some help is much appreciated. Thanks again in advance. |

Based on his first post, I think he is trying to change default fitness value, which is 89. So, single race mode, not career mode =)

I know that we're talking about single race mode - but that doesn't change what you have to edit |

Yeah, but can we edit so in single race all riders have like 99? At least, if you go to a normal DB (non career) all values for fitness_f_forme will be 0.

If you edit a single race save game, yes, you can set it to 99. |

But then (just clarifying myself) you can only do this on stage races right? No classics or single stages, yes?

Everything. Careers, stage races, classics etc., etc. Open the save game with an editor, and you can change what you like. |

Yeah, but I mean, if I want to play Single Player:Stage mode, no way to change it right? I mean, there's no savegame.

But it might be in the Local.cdb or plain database file.

There is a save game, even for single stages / classics. You just have to edit it while PCM is opened. |

I usually play a season. Is there any downfall of setting the fitness at 99 for all riders for all races?
Or is this just a form of cheating? |

Personally I think that cheating does not apply to single player games. Why should anybody feel guilty for playing a game the way he wants.
That said, it is easier to play on easy then modifing the DB before every single stage.
Or was you question to raise the fitness for your opponents as well? In this case you would need a tool to manipulate the fitness, else it would be to much work. |
