Which is the best program to use for importing GPX files into the stage editor?
Thanks.

Hmm, not sure I fully understand your question. You don't use a program to import the gpx files, the stage editor opens them by itself. When creating a new stage, just load a gpx.
If you mean where to create the files, the three sites I've seen suggested are: openrunner.com, tracks4bikers.com and bikeroutetoaster.com |

... Try. That's how you learn
GPS Kicker was made for PCM09 (or PCM08), so yes, it works.
RSM Profiler can be used to make the profile, not the route. |

Going to hijack JPH's thread here. I'm trying to make a new race for PCM09, and I have a GPX file I'd like to use, as well as RSM-Profiler. For some reason, when I try to import the GPX to RSM profiler, I get a 'list index out of bounds' error. Anyone have any idea of what this could be?
Thanks. |

No idea what that could be, by googling it seems like a programming error or something, doesn't look like easily-fixable (for a normal user of the program). Perhaps try with the GPS Kicker?

If the source code was lying around I'd take a look at it, but I really don't want to go digging through that config file without any idea what I'm looking for.
I'll give the other a try though, forgot it was '08, not '09, and didn't look in the right place for it before... |

No dice, similar behind the scenes stuff. I did mess around with some of the code, but couldn't get it working. Fucking basic. Worse than Java.
Anyone got one of these lying around (and working)? I could send you the .gpx, and you could send back the .xml? |

But does it happen with any .gpx? If you attach the file I could try if it works here (if that's what you meant in the last line ).

It's an issue with the program. It comes up with a script error if I try to do anything, I don't even get to the point where I'm able to import the file.
I haven't tried any other though, to answer your question. If you'd be willing to give it a try, I'd be extremely grateful.

Hm, didn't work for me as well, both in RSM-Profiler and GPS Kicker. I tried to upload to tracks4bikers, and it said "there is no route in this .gpx", so I thought the problem could be in the .gpx file, although it seemed to work in Bike Route Toaster. Then tried recreating the route (just not sure if I got the circuit orders right - first they go north clockwise, then south clockwise as well and then leave to Notch Road?). While it didn't work again in RSM-Profiler (this time with a different error, saying about some time value that wasn't a valid floating point ? ), it worked in GPS Kicker. I isolated the profile in the attached xml, which worked fine when loading into RSM profiler, so hopefully that works
Btw, the RSM-Profiler is now doing that error with any .gpx I try I can't remember if it (importing the .gpx) ever worked though

The first loop is counter-clockwise, but don't worry about it. East-West road is called as such because it's a climb either way. I prefer the west side, but it doesn't really matter.
You did forget to attach the file though. |

Uups I didn't actually forget, but forgot that the forum doesn't allow .xml files directly

It worked great, and the stage is all setup. I do have one issue though, namely that I want to have a long cobblestone section (a dirt road climb in real life), but I can't seem to get it to work. It shows up in RSM Profiler, but not the game itself.
I've attached it, if you or anyone else would be willing to take a look.
