Sylvain Lipawsky, racing in Ukraine, while training in the Czech Republic, probably my fault for not PMing you about the missed race, just writing it in the report, anyway, he will race Ostrava and nothing else before the World Champs. Information is in my post yesterday.

Sorry I missed that, though you didn't PM me like you said
Remember to always PM me about these things. I read things in the Game Thread, but I don't always have my Game File open when I read the Game Thread, when I read my PMs I always have it with me to write these things down.
Consider yesterday's post as a sneaky trick by Sylvain to make everyone think he wouldn't start?

Yeah, I'll PM you next time. Do you want me to send one about the next two races?
I always feel like Sylvain's sneaky tricks don't work, he didn't win the Tokyo race either did he?

Well, Lipawsky is still young, and his weakness is being too impulsive, so maybe he doesn't see his tricks all the way through
Now I've noted he'll ride Ostrava and then skip the weekend before the WC. |

Yeah, fair enough, but let him win soon please.
Originally I was planning to skip all of Scandinavia, stuffed that up. ;P
Oh, yeah, and he is training his technical ability a lot now, if that means anything. Because he can train that without wasting too much energy, simultaneously, with his World Championships preparation.

Wanted to do the preview of the next race earlier today but decided to give another day at least for people to catch up and react in the game thread |

The way I took it from jandal's request to improve his riders starting, it takes quite a lot of time to increase anything, at all. At least I'd be disappointed if one can significantly increase his riders ability merely a week before the World Championships.
I still wait for Hafthor's post on his conti jersey but I imagine SN is right now hugely busy with the ManGame.

Yeah, I know it'll take a while, I was planning to start earlier, but didn't, so maybe not much of am effect now, but as I said in the game thread, he's thinking long term to.

Are you ready for one of the most prestigous events on the calendar? Everyone dreams of winning in Ostrava, only a few manage to achieve that dream.
Read the preview here. |

Yay, Ostrava was one of my favourites of the ones I made, so it's nice to see it as a thing.
I'm not going to say who we need to win though, because you won't do it if I do say it.

I think I can bring you the race tomorrow.
Next week is extremely important for my school (internship), so I won't promise anything for that.
After next week, things could speed up a bit again.
Hope to do the World Championships in 2 weeks but that's just an estimate, I won't rush myself, I only do a report if I find joy in it
And the possible week break won't be that bad. I notice activity is low because it's a busy time in the ManGame. So it won't hurt

That's got to be one of the most exciting races I've ever read!
Lipawsky just 1 point off Cook in the superprestige, kind of ironic that on the first page of both threads it says that Sylvain isn't contender.
Anyway, great race, I'll hopefully do a post from Sylvain today.

A reaction from the world champion should come tomorrow.

Matt 13th once again, I think that 4th position was a rather better obsession
Well, hopefully when the cold will be behind us he can snap back into the top 5

Especially for you I have made this little statistic:
Matt Mazzarelli: Races and Places
Duinencross | 6th | Blaarmeersen | 4th | Great Hertford Classic | No Result | Hobart Sunny Classic | 7th | Melbourne Beach Race | No Result | Tekapocross | 10th | New York | 8th | Seattle | 2nd | Portland CX | 4th | Lancaster Challenge | 4th | Anfotagasta | 2nd | Rio Cross Challenge | 17th | Lisbon | 7th | Bristol | 14th | Lee Valley | 6th | ExCel Center Circuit | 6th | Aosta Valley | 2nd | Rasterhoff | No Result | Christmas Classic | 15th | FujiCross | 6th | Shanghai | 10th | Continental Championships | 17th | Torku | 20th | Hagfors Cross | 3rd | Lviv | 13th | Ostrava Circuit | 13th |
Pretty interesting statistic, actually. Never finished outside top 20, quite an achievement! |

Hammer Time has a win. Mazzarelli doesn't. So tell me, who's the better rider

Who is Hammer Time? Has he actually ever won something? Oh wait, he did... Well, uhm, erm, Mazzarelli is the only rider who got a statistic of its positions. Has Hummer thyme ever had one? Nope!
Well, thanks for doing that statistic, looks like 6th position is even more frequent, still hurts less than the 4th.Thanks Ian

To avoid any confusion later on, let's say this is on a break for five days, now. As I said before, busiest week of the school year for me, so my mind will be better at ease if I don't have to think about this for that week, instead of trying to squeeze something in between hours
So, see you on Friday evening at the earliest, with the preview for the sand race! |
