Yay for ignore mode.
Hope the contract ideas will work out though. I'd only want to get rid of one or two riders, and I think I'm not the only one, so teams will generally stay the same. |

Does that include the races you're allowed to participate in + rules about requesting races as well? Oh, and not sure if I asked it before (think I did), but is it possible to withdraw riders, i.e. Cavendish after the first Giro week?
I'm asking this because I'll probably (last-minute.. ) be away for the weekend, and I want to take this seriously, so I need to get this done asap.
I'm going to say no to withdrawing riders, that creates a ton of extra work, and the simulation will go too fast for that to be possible, entire GT will be done in 5 days or less.

As far as preparing right now, since your a WT team you can certainly start planning your season, around the WT races.

Yep, I've done that part already. Can't toally plan it though, because that'll depend on who I'll get this round and the other races I'll get. Also did the "who's training what" part. But I just got told we're only leaving Friday afternoon, so I guess I'll be able to do everything in time. |

just one question, withdrawing riders isn't aloud and i understand that, but if a rider abandons a race during he simulation, can we still add him in races that were not in his planning. For example Cavendish abandons from the Grio after 10 days due to the time limitations, can I still add him to the selection of tour of Belgium?

I don't think abandons due to the time limit actually happen when simulating, but in case of an injury, I don't think that will be possible. You will have to send all startlists at the start of the season, and you can't put one rider on two startlists at a time. |

I know you can't that's why I asked if it's aloud to change it, but that was before knowing that abandons don't happen during simulation for time limitations

Okay just to prioritize.
Pre-First: Post team requirements for Preseason
First: Complete Team Rosters
Second: Post Full Schedule
Third: Draft for other teams
Fouth: Post other team rosters
Fifth: Figure out how to get Olympics into game (which no one else has figured out yet...also I need a link for a DL of the Olympic ITT, think someone should have made it by now) Fear not we will have Olympics.
Sixth: Start season?
EDIT: Somewhere between first and fifth I also have to clean up the DB to make it all work, will have to happen in the process so each step will take time.
EDIT2: Also need to correct the front page rules as some have changed slightly.

Okay going to try and keep this quick and simple. List of things I need from each team.
1: Fitness Schedule from each team for each rider. The game has a list of many, no custom schedules yet, lets get things running smoothly first.
2: Training program from each team for each rider. Don't worry about trainers, each team gets 5 trainers with exactly the same skills (all 7s).
3: Start lists for January and February races.
4: 5 scouting choices from each team (I'll explain in next post)
5: Whatever I forgot and remember later.
Obviously I don't have all the other needed information out to you guys yet to make all these decisions, but this is just to get things started.

I got my Timo, and my team is complete! Can't wait for the pre-season to get going, and I think we can have Olympics but its impossible to have it happen only every four years. And national teams too.

Thanks Kentaurus. Obviously we can't really submit our fitness schedules until we know what races we are racing, so I assume you will be publishing the race schedule first?
Also, do we set training programmes blind? In other words, we set them without knowing the potential of each rider?

Got who I wanted Pot5 but had at least 78 TT max every career I simulated, so a worthy teammate. And lol@the Olympics, I already anticipated by that in my story.
Can't wait to see what races I'll get
@fjhoekie as far as I know, yes...

So I figured out how I want to do scouting. Each team will have 5 scouts, each scout can scout one rider each month. Each month a rider is scouted, your scout report will unlock two of his attributes and narrow in on his potential. After 3 months of scouting a rider you will learn his style of riding (Sprint/Tour/Cobbles ect). You may change which riders you are scouting at any time, but the change will not take place until the start of the next month.
I will post a list of the Young Riders with their Names, Birthday, and Home Region once we get started.
Signing Young Riders:
Any team may sign any young rider at any time, but they will join after the season. Young riders will sign for 3 seasons. As always a team cannot have more than 26 riders (WT) or 24 riders (Conti) at the start of a season.
Signings will actually happen at the end of the current month, if two (or more) teams try and sign the same rider in the same month, he will randomly decide which team to sign with.
Also I will be posting the U23 results when they happen.

Potentials will be randomized, and my .xml files are different so that will affect growth. (could go into how all that works, but its complicated to explain those xml files.) Anyhow they are incredibly balanced IMO.

Randomised or not, if you simulate 10 careers, you'll notice that some star patterns return. And random growth or not, looking at your Cattaneo simulation it's definately worth getting talents.
Besides TTers are cheap as hell because of their average stat

Read my other post, schedules will be 2nd, (after publishing the rosters). And the training will be half-blind. You will know what style of rider each rider is, (which affects their max potentials). Otherwise no, there is no star system here to let you know how much more they can grow. Each team will need to observer their riders growth and see if something looks like it is maxed out.
