Welcome to the Team Holden - Westpac HQ!
I am the team's manager. My name is Zoom123 and it is great to have you here. Over the next few days I will be running through a few things - Team overviews , goals , drafted riders, jerseys etc. I hope you enjoy!
Holden
Holden is one of the top selling , and most know , car brands in Australia. They are based in Port Melbourne , Victoria , Australia. Founded in 1856 by James Alexander Holden. They thought it was time they tried something new so they approached co-sponsor Westpac to see if they wanted to form the Team Holden - Westpac Cycling Team.
Westpac
westpac is a bank based in New South Wales ,Australia that has been running for over 20 years. They have 1200 branches in Australia and over 2800 ATM's! They were approached by Holdento tackle this project and willingly accepted and co-formed the Team Holden - Westpac Cycling Team.
Scott
Scott has signed with the Holden - Westpac team and has agreed to make bikes or them. The team was very happy with this as they sponsor other Australian teams including GreenEDGE.
Nike
Nike has signed with the team and has agreed to making their kits. The team was extremely happy with the signing as Nike is one of the biggest brands in the world. Hopefully bringing in lots of publicity.
Giro
Giro has chosen to sponsor the team as long as they wear their helmets for races , advertising etc. The boys are more than happy to do this.

Alberto is most definitely the team leader. Targetting races like the Tour de France and maybe the vuelta , he is definitely a huge asset to the team. He is on a three year contract so expect to see him win some big races in the next few years.
Matthew is the fastest sprinter on the team. He is extremely quick but is also okay when the ground rises. Expect to see him not only win flat stages but also pinch a hilly finish aswell.
Juan Jose is a potential grand tour winner. He won the Vuelta Espana in 2011 so he has definitely got what it takes to win again. He will mainly support Contador in the big mountain finishes in the grand tours but he will get many chances to shine himsel during the season.
Theo is a very fast sprinter that will progress greatly over the next few years. This year however he will mainly lead-out Matthew Goss. He will be able to get stage wins of course but if Goss is there he is leading him out.
Rory is a good climber with an even better time trial stat. He has the potential to win lots of mini-tours as well as supporting riders in bigger races. he has the potential to go very far with Team Holden - Westpac.
Lloyd is a quick sprinter with the ability to ride well on the cobbles. Expect to see him take stages on the flat and maybe in the cobbles aswell.
He is good in the hills and mountains and is also a good time trialist. He will mainly ride in support but will have a few opportunities to go off on his own.
Vladimir is a good all-around rider. He is good in the hills and mountains but also has a decent time trial on him. He will have many chances to shine during the season but will also have to support the leaders at some stage.
Mauro is a quick sprinter that doubles as a puncher. He will mainly focus on winning one day hill classics. Mainly in Italy. We are expecting Mauro to pick up alot of wins during the season.
Jure is another quick sprinter that has the legs to do well in the hills. He will also be focusing on one day hill classics. Expect to see him pick up a fair few stage winns aswell.
These are the main riders for our team. Find the rest in the full team list at the start of this post

Management has picked many goals for the season but here I will point out the key ones.
Santos Tour Down Under
Being the biggest (and only) WT race in Australia the sponsors found it neccessary for it to be the mian race for the season. It is a shame it is so early in the season though. Being a race in Australia it gives the management of Holden and Westpac to watch their team race.
Giro d'Italia
Team management has chosen the Giro to be one of the big targets of the season over the Tour de France because they simply want to see how the leaders of the team work together in a grand tour. Another reason is we have Giro as a sponsor.
Tour of Britain
The team management has chosen the Tour of Britain as a main target because Australia has a bit of rivalry with Britain. They thought it would be fantastic if an Aussie (or Aussie team) won in Britain
One day Italian hill classics
The management has also chosen these races as it would be good for younger riders and it would be a good lead up for grand tours.

The team is proud to announce that we have signed Aussie Rory Sutherland. He said
"i am extremely happy to be on an Aussie team. And to have riders with such ability around me makes it even better!
But the team was not so happy to see a fellow Aussie rider Jack Bobridge go to ESPN – Cannondale. Hopefully we can make up for this loss by getting another fantastic rider next round.

Like the kit, just one suggestion, Those red sides, If you edit them to "Multiply" under layers, then you will end up with a more realistic look, rather than just blocks of colour

Management has not denied the rumour that there has been a second jersey design. Keep looking back at the Team Kit section to find out!

I think I like Kit 2 better than kit 1, but they are both really good. When you decide which one you want to use let me know and I'll add the kit into the DB.

I like the red-white on the second jersey much more than on kit 1, but I prefer the kit 1 sponsors.. aargh!
Edit: How did you get the rider pictures like that?
