Interesting post from Shonak there. Guess Ronnie will have to react, I'll do it on weekend. All I can say is, if true, he's thinking about it...

11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

Interesting that he mentioned Mazzarelli as well, and I'd really like to react, but it's much more likely that I'll do it in the weekend than now, as I'm very short in time to prepare an acceptable response, just got to decide if doing it under Matt's name or Mapei's as Shonak did.

Interesting Read!
Unfortunately I'm going away for the long weekend, I'll be back on Monday, I'll try to get a post in by then.

Wow, what a great history lesson Ian. Nice to get a little read of this rivalry for the ages.

Glad some of you liked it. I hope to do more in the future
Torku race is up, now. I'm not entirely sure of the report, I hope you like it. I wasn't feeling very inspirational so sorry if it lacks quality. Still tried to make the most of it, though |

And on the palmares-issue (with Continentals), I've made a decision.
I am working on a new "feature" for next season, where there are some extra races, overlapping with classification races. These will be chances for lesser riders to ride in races and get in that top 10 for once, or for young riders (these races might be shorter, but I'm not sure on that yet). Anyway, these races would be much like the road race .2 category. So palmares (official podiums) won't feature these races. And I'll count the Continental Championships as one of those races. Obviously it's much more prestige, but there are no UCI points to be earned, too. |

Sounds great, I'm also wanting to do some spin-offs to this and next season if that's ok with you.

Well, Matt reached the objective of finishimg the race .
But well, there was some action in the race with Hakinnen and Kokkonen doing a cyclocross' Valverde and losing the race in a magnificent way. Liking how you built up the rivalry between Schlitz and Bernard, shame TSF is not active anymore, we could've expected a nonsense post by him. Fortunately we can rely on another Nonsense for an interesting blog post by Schlitz, hopefully. Would like to write a blog post mysekf as well tomorrow, so stay tuned. Btw, congrats to uncle Hammarling for winning that, but I appreciated once again Elfjadsonn racing style once again

Cheers Matt glad to see your involvement in this game even at moments when Matt is desperately behind
Yes, Schiltz and Bernard was always a ticking time bomb and I think it went off now. Bernard's behaviour came out of TSF's (role-playing) posts, which were always aggressive
Hope to see Nonsense make an interesting blog of it, obviously. As well as TMM about Hammarling, you about Matti finishing and Shonak on Welling's performance |

Hagfors Preview!
A few big questions before the race:
Will the profile be frozen or not? It will make a big impact on the race.
Will Dries Cornelis make history and win the race a third time?
Will Cook take an option on the overall victory of the Superprestige on this climbing route, or will someone still threaten him?
Find out in the race.
Also updated the World Cup and UCI ranking in the Torku race report |

Welling with a chance to finish World Cup within Top 10. Nice.
Hagfors will be a goodie

For Matt, I guess much will depend on whether this turns into an ice-course or not |

Well he mentions him in the prediction for tomorrow:
6. Mikel Hammarling - A definite outsider, but rejuvenated with a win and now racing at home, the crowds could spur him on to do well.
But I see your point that Mikel isn't mentioned in the actual Torku review Though the article is mostly about Cornelis. If you'd read Belgian newspapers, you wouldn't think it's weird. When someone other than Sven Nys winning (or Van Aert now), it's usually a small corner on the winner and a super big article: Svne Nys only 8th!

A route wihtout any cobbles and people are mentioning Hammarling? Not a very good newspaper...
Also it's not a Belgian newspaper, and even then i know they would at least mention who won the race. Even if it's in a hate filled, condesending, arrogant, doping-theory accusation manner

I guess that can be arranged
Well, I see your point. But I do appreciate jandal's effort and I think he can grow into this. It offers a nice alternative insight into the reports, from a journalistic angle, so I like it |
