Considering how many other riders managed to crash going over those slippery and wet white road markings on that corner I do not think it mattered quite that heavily that Degenkolb's lead-out crashed. It seemed like the group got held up behind a few of the riders who went "A over T".
Goss reported as not having lost any time and Greenedge saying he was caught in the crash. Might have been back a bit but could have been in with a shout without the crash...maybe.
Add Viviani and Bouhani to that too 14th and 15th today.

Just to add that Degenkolb was in prime position and red hot favourite anyway at that stage but clearly Viviani, Bouhani and Goss are in good shape to get over the hills.
Edit - Having said that more than I thought made the reduced peloton, around half the field.

Yes, I finally got a PCM$ bet correct.
And cio93 must have for sure got it too, right?
@ianrussell: I thought Goss was way back with Cavendish.
I'm glad that I can watch full race replays on YouTube now since I live in the US...only thing to complain about is British Eurosport talking about Cav for like 15 km's straight
