You're being a bit crazy right now with contador 84. It's only the start of the season there's no GT that top contenders have done yet.
My 84 is based on last season as are the stats of the top riders. I've changed no rider based on this season yet.
I still don't think contador deserves 84 it's not even justified. If contador can win both the tour and the giro I will agree he deserves 84 |

Rafael Valls might need a bit of upgrade in MO after this surprising win against top climbers |

Valls 74 MO will be fair enough. It's Tour of Oman, start of the season, there is nothing to exaggerate.

I agree with you that 74 is fair enough but at the same time it's impossible in the game to win a mountainous stage like the one at Oman with 74 there's no way. |

A stat change should only happen, when a rider does good on a consistent level to earn the upgrade and not because he is in top shape, in a time where not many others are having their best form.
To early in the season to discuss stats

Yes he 's only won 8 GTs and beat Froome in all races last year.

Still, he can't deserve 84. We'll hardly give such a high stat to any rider, as it would make things difficult to regens, that already struggle to reach the actual riders stats. I still think that we should wait for the tour to edit the '' big 4 '' stats. For now, it's better being careful and if you really want to make things different, I'd advise you to talk about the minor stats such as endurance, recuperation, resistance and acceleration, which would be the only ones I'd edit for now

If you were going to give 84MO to any rider i'd give it to Contador. Not nessesarily because he's the best climber but because he is now 32 so will start to decline in year1/2 of a career. It's not like he's going to be 84/85 for 5 years and dominate. But no Contador isn't 84MO regardless. His GT scuccesses are built on more, he's a great TT'er, excellent in Week 3 (one of the best), quick to attack and tactically pretty damn smart.

after seeing froome winning this stage, I can tell that alberto contador will have pain in the ass in GT's if he doesn't have good riders in mountain to help him. |

Contador and Froome are even in MO stats, its the RES, REC and END stats that you have to alter to get the most realistic results with those two.

I already explained why riders with already high stat have high potentials. It doesn't matter whether they're old or not:

Talking of Boonen yet again we're not going to be able to assess his true cobble stats given the fact he's out of the cobbled classics this year and to be fair his current cobbled stats really reflect the rider he was a few years ago. |

I think it is important to look at what the AI is capable with riders. For instance, take a sprinter like Gaviria. With just 70 SP he will not ever be able to beat Cavendish in a PCM-sprint. Same goes with a rider like Daniel Diaz. Will the PCM-AI ever be able to beat riders like Quintana with just 70 KL?
So in some cases you can already assess certain stats, even before the big races.

The AI needs to recognize more when certain riders really focus on a race. For Diaz San Luis is his big aim so he's on top form, whereas riders like Quintana are in early season. Therefore the AI needs to recognize this.
I know each rider has his favourite races But as far as I know the AI in races doesn't seem to take that into account that often, agree it needs to be fixed.
Also needs to recognize more the 'country bonus' where for example French riders will try more in French races etc, look at the Paris-Nice at the moment Europcar and Bretagne have dominated the breaks but in the game there's far less a chance that the AI will put these teams into the break I think.

After today I am sure you need to boost up Mr. Cimolai a bit !!!
Winning Trofeo Laigueglia and a stage in PN beating Coquard,Matthews Bouhanni and Kristoff. Top podium ever earlier in stage 3, shows that he is not a fluke (like Gaviria, perhaps).
I think you got Kristoff and Bouhanni at acc 80 and 80 sprints, Cimolai is way back at 74 and 74. Do need to shrink that gap IMHO.
Am I way off the issue , or ???
