Oddly little action on stage 1. Another great performance by Poels, beating Herklotz again and even Konrad, who was so strong earlier this season. Anything's still possible with the hilly stage and the ITT ahead.

9th is pretty disappointing. Nice by VDP in 14th tho. Bardet finally with a win after many great rides.Meanwhile Sagan keeps stacking up those points.. Kwiatek with his best hill performance of the year.

Is anybody planning a TdF preview?

Yeees! First win of the season for Pelucchi, and only the 5th of our team. All previous 4 wins came in Tour de San Luis in February, so a long time without wins Rabottini not so great in GC, but the TT was too much important for his liking

You set way too high a bar with your Giro preview. There's a lot I have to learn about layout, structure and content, that will take me a while... next season's TdF maybe.
Another really good outing from Poels, apart from a bad Tour of South Africa he's performed in every stage race so far. Great performances by the two guys ahead of him, too. Young Herklotz proves again he's simply the best rider in the CT this season and Thomas topped off his performance with a 4th place in the final mass sprint, taking the points jersey from Herklotz by 1 point.

Yeah, sorry, Poels overperformed in the ITT, with his TTR 70 he beat Kangert's 74, should have been the other way round.

Jeanesson going really well in Osterreich, that MTF was amazing.
But absolutely Herklotz was the strongest, there was no doubt, congratz Bosch!

Vittel just can't help themselves, even winning a race they have no right to win. Very happy with Stannard and Christian is a nice surprise, a successful goal race! Did Birch crash as well? So far Aviva never had a rider miss the time limit, I'd like that series to continue.

Good race from Puccio and Cancellara, even Beuret with a decent result. No words for Vittel anymore, they are just ridiculous.
Thanks for the report Abhi.

First three stages of the Tour posted. Bikex has done the first 16 stages so far, so until he comes back I will post 3 stages a day and then there will a break of a few days probably.

Froome crashing in the first stage is pretty f'cked up. Herrada seems to be doing well so far, even coming 5th in the bunch sprint on s3.
