She reminds me of someone, an actrice, but I can't remember who...
Anyway, anyone any plans for Halloween? I guess the Americans here have plans? (I heard it's a big thing in the USA) |

Halloween is only one of the commercial feasts celebrated to raise large amounts of money from various crap. Same as Valentines day. I dont celebrate it and many people in Czech republic dont, only the new facebook generation, so they can show cool pictures then...
However we have feast of All Saints at the 1st of November, when we remember our dead relatives.

One of the biggest nights of the year, should be even better this time around, absolutely huge club nights and I managed to get tickets to the biggest one. Don't really get Hallloween but I enjoy it just the same. Now to find a cheap costume... suggestions are welcome... |

We don't really celebrate Halloween as such in Denmark. SOme people have parties with traditional costumes, and I've heard that some kids go trick or treating, but it isn't really a big thing I think.
It has grown bigger over the last few years, but I think it's mainly commercial to be honest.
Personally, I am not celebrating it, but the class I teach at the moment will be doing something Halloween themed

As long as young kids are accompanied by a responsible parent, i don't mind it, but when teenagers turn up expecting money then i have to draw the line |

Its an irish holiday to celebrate celtic and pagan rituals as well as celebrating the death of the ancestors...
The US has commmercialized it, and thats how its known today...

For once I actually did know that, I just meant that it doesn't mean much to me and I don't get why it's so enduring. |

Visited Kraków this weekend, really nice city, I highly recommend to visit it. The visit to Auschwitz was probably the most touching experience of my life. You really can feel the horror of that place.

That, however, is not include in the "miggi133 lexicon for useless facts that no one will ever need to know and graphix n stuff"...
Its beyond me too. I really could not care less...

Miggi: I honestly can't remember if it was Papa Smurf or Smurfette. All I remember is a bunch of blue stuff infront of my eyes.
It was as if I literally kissed the sky.
