There is no edit button in here, probably because you then would be able to delete/edit offers during the transfer season

Hey guys
Is there any place I could get the specific rules on transfers? Also, what is the salary cap for CT teams?

The exact CT structure including salary cap is not public yet.
Last years transfer rules.

So, is there anything that can be done to help out during the off-season apart from reporting? I remember a few people asked last season, and nothing really came up but if there's anything new I'd be happy to help. |

While I was managing in the ContDiv2 last year, I made the mistake of focussing on young riders and then a fairly decent sprinter.
In the Cont division, would I get more success if I focus on one specialisation (climbers, sprinters, cobbles etc) than building a team for more than one specialisation?

Usually if I have something I can delegate, the reporters are able to handle it. If more help is needed for whatever reason, ill bear you in mind

Going for one specialisation can work if you get good enough riders at it, but chances are that you are going to need strength in more than one area if you are targeting promotion. But given the calendar choice, you dont necesarilly need to be strong everywhere. Bianchi won the PCT division last year with no Cobbles rider, Rapha came 2nd almost completely avoiding Mountains.

Can't find the right thread to post this, but since I don't want to spoil rjc's thread, I'm just going to ask if Mhaley's transfer talk isn't a little bit excessive? I mean we're supposed to post rumours about transfer not explicit in detail the benefits of certain transactions, right?

That was precisely what I was thinking .... because it seems more than a simple approach, or rumor

I have to agree here, this is not a rumour but a loan trade proposal
And also, Cattaneo would be better loanee at Metinvest

He also forgot some part of the calculation, specially that Cattaneo will get more racedays in PT, and I also believe that he's born so late in the year that he can ride Avenir (correct me if I'm wrong) which means that he "starts" at 2.94 which makes it better for him to stay in the PT... Then again, rjc most likely got full control on this, so the chanses of him loaning him out is pretty slim :-p (not to mention that he is a pretty decent domestique, even in the PT already)

Others have definately been pushing the limit with some of their HQ posts, but yeh, mhaley wasnt even trying to hide it there - clear cut offers are a step too far.
Its really bad tactically aswell, for mhaley. Either because the calculations dont quite work, or now any other PCT team can just copy his idea in transfers, if they hadnt already thought of that
And yeh, Cattaneo can ride Avenir, and if he stays at Wiggle will definately do so - no PT races clash with Avenir, unlike in CT (which is how he missed Avenir last season).

Why must people be so impatient in making transfers offers?

Or the fact that I need absolutely no help in working out who should or shouldn't need to stay in the team. It's quite insulting to my intelligence and experience that someone should try to spell out what I need to do.

I tried to search it in the forum but I couldn't find the info. It's about the race days per rider. Can somebody give me a tip about that?
Cheers

Not 100% decided yet.
Last year it was like ~85 for the helpers in the Continental and less for leaders. Boom, Hermans etc. had ~40.
In PT it is different. |

I apologize to the other managers. The whole process of allowing rumors is confusing to me. Reading though previously posted rumors and responses it seemed that intrest had been express and often in replys that interest had been supported with the return of a positive rumor or squashed by a statement of the rider in question value to the current team.
Rereading my post, I can see I crossd the line line from rumor to offer.
I will make sure that future posts will be only rumors. |

In short:
Signalling interest in loaning Cattaneo or whoever is fine.
But going more detail, like you did, is best avoided
