First of all thank you for the magnificent reports to Ulrich, and congratulations to the likes of Bushwackers and redordead for a very good race here.
Aular did better than what I hoped with sixth in GC, as I really feared a top-10 would be difficult. No crazy results, but great consistency. The TTT doing quite alright also helped for sure. Fifth in team's classification is nice, and although it's a bummer to lose white on the final day, second and third there is really decent as well. Ayuso in second definitely is very strong at only his second year of development and in a PT race. Can be happy with this race!
I'm at a loss of words at just how badly McNulty did here. In the first mountain stage I thought this might be a one off, but not being competitive in all three of them and then also flop in the TTT is very disappointing.
I had big expectations and hopes for a podium for both my captains in this triple header and in the end they finish 13th and 15th.
Chaiyasombat in 18th is a little bit comforting.
Thanks for the great reports, Ulrich and congrats Bushwackers. Kudus already working on justifying his big paycheck.
Was upset not to see Formolo in the breakaway today, but stating with the favorites proved to be the right choice as it allowed him to climb quite well in the GC. Given his decline, the TTT and most importantly the starlist here, 15th is a honorable place.
A pretty good tripple header for us in the end, 3rd in Grand Duche, 4th and 11th in Paris-Nice, 15th here. Plus a couple of stage wins, some days in distinctive jerseys and another white jersey from Remco.
Thanks for the reports and congrats to Bushwackers for what has been a very dominant display from Kudus!
Not very fun seeing Kudus going in the early break, but pulling off another stage win in the end in spite of that strangeness is great. Overall a massive race for him. Hopefully he can perform similarly in the Giro, though Pog just proved it could be neck and neck. Thank you Ulrich, the race was great fun to follow!
