It took us 3 years, but we're finally here and Pogacar is performing in accordance with his stats at Avenir
I was never sure if he could shake off Valter, because the jersey bonus can sometimes do wonders and Valter is a very good climber in his own right. The final gap created is quite good, especially when you go further down the results. As long as we don't do anything stupid tomorrow we should be in control of this race
It seems we played a bit of a numbers game there with Primozic attacking at a certain point, but also controlling the stage throughout. Probably making it very difficult for everyone, so Pogi could attack later. Kinda like irl
Also looking good for the team classification which is definitely something I want us to win
"I am a cyclist, I may not be the best, but that is what I strive to be. I may never get there, but I will never quit trying." - Tadej Pogačar

Wow, what a demonstration by Pogacar! Happy to be part of the team with Osorio doing some great domestique work there as well, also finishing tenth on the stage and currently tenth in GC. Don't know everyone's TT stats obviously, but with his TT skills holding the top-10 could be possible, depending on the type of work he will be doing for Pogi. Brave ride from Valter as well there. Thanks for another great report, Abhi.

Strong, strong ride by Pogacar! Something to look forward to for years to come, I suppose We tried to be in the breakaway and Vansevenant did that, so I can't be mad at the guys. Nothing else could be expected on a stage like that. Hopefully they do the same in the remaining two road stages as well!
Enjoyed the report even without a horse in the race in the finale, thanks Abhi!

Both Bjerg and Vansevenant trying to get in the break, love their fighting spirit!

Cool to see Sakchai attacking even if it wasn't enough in the end. |

Clang on to the Top 10 is the mission for us now, the TT will be crucial for Van Poucke.

Looks like we will indeed be getting real life Pogocar in Man Game yet. Congrats redordead!
Nothing stage for us in the high mountains, no problem there.

Very solid ride from McNulty, rode his pace, wasn't going to match the front two on the day. Valter was his key rival in his year and losing that battle but Valter's form has been too strong, think Valter is a faster developing rider as well.
Should be able to gain time in the TT but not 2 minutes. Podium was the goal and on track for that. Team behind him was as solid as could be hoped.

Look at that! It's been a quiet race for the Carlsberg boys, but what a great way get noticed here. Awesome stage win!

Lagane finally nailed his sprint! If only the break wasn't ahead Still, this is continuing a very solid race from the young T3A lads.

What a nice surprise to see one of our two youngsters in the race actually getting something out of this race. A stage win is way above my hopes.

Wow! I believe that's our first l'Avenir stage win ever! Wonderful job by Stocek to get in the break and play his cards perfectly. Exactly the kind of thing we wanted to get out of this race.
But of course, Stocek is our loanee this year, so bigger congrats to Roman! He's been quite active all year in breaks, and it paid off. You've got a great rider coming up the ranks!

Nice top 10 from Herregodts. Cool to see all my three competitors close in the GC in 21st to 28th. Hope Sakchai can show himself in the mountains now! |

Fairly happy with 11th and 12th from Perez & Alexander. For now it's even more the Trinidadian onto the Podium! Gives me far far far more interest in Stage 9 than i was expecting.
A TMM team contesting for a GC Podium up a mountain, i don't think we've ever seen this!

Amazing ride by Bjerg, destroying the competition. After Hodeg last year, we win another stage here! Seems like we have some talent in the squad

Solid rides by both Bissegger and Brunel, although I obviously hoped to see them a little closer to the winner.
Hirschi really sucked in both TTs here, more than I'd have expected. Hopefully either him or Schmid can still make the GC Top10!

Another mediocre effort from McNulty, Pogacar being as poor gives him some cover, but now 8 seconds off the podium against a flying Alexander. Not sure the last stage is selective enough to make that up.
Thanks for the report.
