Nice to see Teuns do good for Cerveceria, eventhough that kind of was his stage to loose. Hopefully he can get that win on the final stage, and maybe survive for a decent GC with it, without standing in the way of Grmay on the proper mountain stages.
Pinot though, quite a statement winning a hilly stage in such manner. No question who is race favourite anymore! Congratulations, Hoyle
Also very cool to see Aasvold, Hoem and Bugge all up there in the first group. Feels like Aker domination Doubt any of them can make a top 10 i the end, but at least Aasvold and Hoem are in the position to fight for it now, which is great to see. |

Now that is what we are talking about! Great win for Thibault, on a stage that I was worried about. Looks like it was hilly, but with enough mountain to make Pinot attack like that. The team were perfect in the chase back, control and over exercution of the stage.
Thanks for the reports roturn

Well these flat stages are absolute murder, congrats to Kip on another win.
Great to see Oliveira out there in the break showing off the Swisslion jersey

Big statement from Thinot in the first hilly day, and again then gaining time (along with the BNZ duo, great day for them!). Must say that fustrates me, though, given that my GC riders were denied big gaps twice last year (both times even after forcing the move iirc)

3rd place again! Still happy with Von Hoff though! Sprinting very well!!
Campero
But Roe and Aasvold 2 & 3!! Very happy with that!! Roe a great TT rider which may help! Hopefully the guys can climb as good as they rode today!!!

Why so unhappy? He was with all GC riders anyway and didn`t really lose any time on direct rivals.
Pinot and your duo the only ones in that sprinter group.
I did not like such gap opening as it`s always a bit random and lucky in case of having a GC and sprinter combination or being in the leader jersey. |

That was certainly unexpected. I was looking at this stage and was hoping that maybe Tleubayev or Simon would be able to survive the climb, but to see Kip not only surviving, but also using Tleubayevs massive leadout yet again to destroy the competition is just amazing.
A bit of sour grapes though to see Tempier not in the first group when I had 6 riders present. That would have been a great minute to be gifted. Oh well, can't get lucky with this amateur team all the time - Now atleast we have scored well above 50 points - more like 60 I think, and if Kip can survive stage 6 he should also make it through the MO TT, unless there's also time limits there... So 2 added points pr. day. Maybe he could even target 70 points from this race? Would be absolutely amazing.

Good stuff for Roe and BNZ, but surely a stupid time loss for all others against Pinot.
Kip though Bossing it here!

Mixed feelings after today’s race, so great to see Freddy Johansson and Sota Ikibe flashing the sponsor jersey’s, even looked possible to fool the peloton for a brief moment, and then Maris Bogdanovics with a great sprint despite having no help in the group.
Dario Cataldo [/b]on the other hand
Having Francisco Lasca, Vincenzo Albanese and Marco Zanotti in front of that group could seem like we at least tried to get it all back together.
Overall we are happy with the tactics, although not flawless
@SotD – Congrat’s well done picking an Amateur monster
@ the_hoyle: Looks good – seems almost sealed
@roturn: Thanks again great report

Hahaha, well done Kip in keeping those points from our division rivals <3
Henao and Atapuma is okay positioned before the mountain stages, looking very forward to see how much they can climb the rankings. |

Wow didn't expect that from the flat stage 5. Adding a bunch of time the GC rivals and Mclay with a good sprint for 6th. Let's see how we go in the mountains!
Just realised that we have the KoM and u25 jerseys for the race as well. Great points haul so far

What a beast Pinot! Already a 4'30 gap in GC to Cataldo. Can't see any chance of him losing this race, and maybe even winning 5 stages in the process. The new CT mountain goat is here

Just wow Thibault - just wow.
I am loving life back in the CT and already we are performing better than the last time were here. Great ride from Mat Senan for 2nd place and good to see Grmay up there on GC. He would have only been pinot's right hand man so good to see him riding for himself with ste's team.
Thanks for the report again roturn

11th for Brajkovic, hope he can do well in the TT and has some gas left for the brutal stages that are left. Seibeb loses some today and maybe with some more in the TT he can get in some breaks.
Great to see the youngster Poljanec in the break today

Wow. That was both great to follow and heart breaking Pinot really should have given the stage to Mat Senan exactly the stuff I wanted to see. A gutsy ride and a perfect breakaway opportunity with already minutes lost in the flat stages and the hilly day. To have the KoM lead for one day may actually help him staying active, even though Pinot seems to be much a class of his own to not win the KoM rankings as well eventually.
Anyway. A very good ride from Mat Senan. A pity about the missed win, but obviously can't complain

I guess that Tempier was too well placed in the GC to attack, as this was a great day to pick. We got a rider in it which is good though... these level 1 riders are worthless in terms of breakaways though. Congrats on another win. The points jersey will be quickly lost at this rate...
Also great performance by fellow amateur team to see Mat Senan in 2nd. Now for a mountain TT and then hopefully some aggressive riding from Tempier :-)

Got a bit frightened to see Ikibe go for the KoM, Cataldo have a weak team here.
But with Dario having one of his crazy “Vinokourov” days, turned out to be the perfect plan, could hardly be more pleased with the result.
Thanks again for another great report.
